My new craft room tour features fabulous ideas from The Container Store. They offer so many storage solutions you may not have thought about.
It's a video that has been a long time in the making but I wanted to take the time to work in the new space and tweak it so that it was just right before I shared it. I have moved so many things around from when I first created it last summer.
It's a much longer video than what you're used to from me, so grab a beverage and enjoy!
How do you use the pegboard in a craft room? The peg board has been the one thing you have asked me about more than anything. Let me just say it IT. IS. AWESOME! I love having everything so close. It cleared up all the space on my counter so I can create easily - just reach out and grab what I need. The Container Store has so many cool things you can put on the peg board.
👉 Hooks of all different sizes
👉 Cups of all different sizes
👉 Shelves - yep, different sizes
👉 And it's magnetic too!
I think I am most proud of my paper storage system. It is an Elfa drawer unit that I was able to convert to paper storage. YES, that is 12" x 12" paper in the top drawer on the right! I used hanging dividers and hanging file folders to organize my paper.

Very nice room I hope the Container Store gave you a big discount for your kind words. I am a little surprise that you have carpet on your floor I do and wish they were wood vinyl easier to clean up my messes. Just love all of your storage. You are a blessed lady.

Well, no. I just purchased from them. Carpet? That was not by choice. It's what came in the house. Eventually I will change that out.

Hi Connie, just happened on this. I've been a container store customer for 32 years. The elfa is always on sale for 25% in the fall but the big sale is after Christmas to mid Feb for %30. I always have a wish list so I can get it on sale! I've done all the closets in two houses, my garage in this house and two craft rooms. I love their stuff. In my former house, I installed it by myself. Once you get the top track up, everything else is a breeze. The hard part is unpacking it. In the house, I got it installed and that was nice because it was 30% off on installation too. And the installer had to remove all the packaging! Your space looks fantastic and you hit on my favorite part of Elfa - you can rearrange as your needs change. I have a whole supply of gently used elfa that I"m sure I'll use in my next place. And, as you mentioned, they design for free and let you return for free. And, if you're looking for water proof, bug proof storage for garage items their containers for that are amazing. My neighbors envy my container store garage! Thanks for sharing!

AWSOME! My dream room. I have a 10 X 12 room in which I do paper crafting, sewing, crochet supplies, and counted cross stich supplies. (Being 74 with not so good eye sight now, little sewing and cross stitching done.) I moved over a year ago and still trying to get organized. You have given me great ideas to think about. I have a “Room of Requirement” (from Harry Potter) which is my home office, an extra guest room and my 6x6 corner for crafting. My crafting desk is also the top of my sewing machine so things have to be moved around when I want to sew. It’s quite crowed but it is my room and I put up all the shelves myself. Well, you have totally sold me! I moved into my little house 2 years ago and am using the 3rd bedroom for my craft room. I have been contemplating what in the world to do in there for optimal storage and use and you provided me with so many ideas today. Unfortunately, there isn't a Container Store in NW Arkansas, but there should be! This is one of the fastest growing areas in the country (thanks to Walmart!) so a Container Store would certainly do well up here! This is the first time I’ve seen your video of your craft room. Fantastic! I like Elfa. Years ago I saw a shelf unit. I called the Container store about it & the lady was extremely helpful putting my order together & it was shipped to my house. My husband & I installed it.
