Thank you so much for the tour! I’ve watched innumerable craft room videos, but I can honestly say you’re in my top 3. Although I’m a different kind of paper crafter, I can really use your design, storage, & organization ideas, because above all, it must be functional for us. It doesn’t matter how pretty something is; we must be able to work with ease. I like your reasoning behind why you put things where you do. I love your windows. You speak with poise, not stumbling for words. Enjoyed spending time with you. Btw - your thumbnail pic was fantastic!

Your room is amazing! I love all of the counterspace and how large it is! We moved to a new home in December and downsized, so my craft room is much, MUCH smaller. I'm still so grateful to have a space of my own, but I do miss the space. I have all of my story stamp pamphlets too. I have them stored like you do; just in a bin. I keep thinking I may get back to the bin and use them as jumping off points for story telling, but it hasn't happened yet. I would love to see your organization process as you continue to work your way through your room! Thanks for sharing, Linda!

Can you please tell me the name of your tables from IKEA? Love your setup. I was leaning toward the Alex desk, but always feel it’s not deep enough. The depth is very important. I have the two windows like you, but space between windows is about half the width of yours. I am a color consultant and make client Color palettes for their best colors in clothing and cosmetics based on their skin, hair and eye colors. I have shear curtains in white right now, but may remove them so my desk setup can go right up against the wall for more space. Thanks so much.

They are Melltorp dining tables from Ikea. I have four rectangular ones and one square one and I arranged them into my desk shape. They would be very small to use as actual dining tables, but I agree the dimensions are better than regular desks for crafting because they are so deep!

I know this is an old video and you may have already gotten rid of them, but I put the stamp pamphlets behind the actual stamp in a stamp storage sleeve. I found that I can see the stamp images better with cardstock behind them and spent some time cutting up papers to put behind them and then realized the inserts did the job just fine, plus I had the content/prompts inside them right with the stamp. I quickly looked through the comments and didn't see anyone commented on that, so, here I am...
@LindaLovesCreating Жыл бұрын
Yes I do still have the stamp inserts! I don’t typically look at my stamps to pick one out because I use my stamp binders, but I could see how that would help! I think for me it would bother me more that I don’t have it for all my stamps (like the other brands), but maybe I’ll change my mind at some point!

Could you post the IKEA link for the divided trays you are showing in your Alex drawer at 15:52 in your video? I have several of these 6 of these ALEX units forming a very large cutting table/work surface in my craft room. I have had difficulty finding trays that fit into them properly. 😉. Thanks.

Can you fit strips of 12” paper in the freezer style plastic bins? Not like full sheets but say a 12”x8” sheet of paper? I tend to start projects and have partial scraps with the coordinating sticker pack and I have yet to figure out the best way to store them.
@LindaLovesCreating2 жыл бұрын
Yes! You can fit slightly longer than 12 inch the long way, so even papers with the branding strip still attached. The short way you will need to have it trimmed a little though. That's a good idea to use these for scraps!

Interesting tour, thanks so much for sharing! I am a card maker so craft differently to you and don't scrapbook, but can't help but notice how many projects you have on the go at one time - one project life you mentioned goes back 6 months. Is this usual for scrap booking? Do you ever think you'll finish them all with keep buying multiple new kits every month? I'm just curious as that would make me very stressed knowing I had so many unfinished projects from so long ago :) Might be completely normal for scrap bookers though, that's why I'm asking - just curious! Terri xx
@LindaLovesCreating2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes this is totally normal for scrapbookers, in fact I think I’m way more “caught up” than the average scrapbooker from what I see online. I totally get how being “behind” could be stressful, in fact that’s a common convo topic in the scrapbook community, but to me I enjoy it! I like having options for what to work on. I will never truly “catch up” because life continues to go on, but for me I enjoy the process as much as I enjoy having the albums and I’m happy to have whatever ones I create. I hope this answers your question!! ❤️
