Hey, thank you for sharing. Do you know of any wires, that we’ll bend into the shape you want, but won’t be as soft as this?

The next level for hardness is copper but if that isn't what you are looking for, then try bronze or brass. Also look at the temper. The spool should tell you whether the temper is dead soft or something else.

Lovely! Wouldnt it be easier to use a mandrel to make a long coil, then flatten out and pull the coils?
@ReginasTarotandWirecraft10 ай бұрын
Potentially, but I don't have a bracelet mandrel, so here I am working with what I've got. I do have a ring mandrel but its way too tiny for the effect I was looking for here. :)

If I made alot of these would it hurt my hand? It's either I do it manually or find a machine..

I hear you. If you use the aluminum wire, it won't be very hard on your hands because that wire is very soft and easy to manipulate.

You are very welcome :) This is 12 gauge dead soft aluminum craft wire for the base of the bracelet, I know some craft stores will carry this, but I ended up ordering it from amazon. And then I used 24 gauge stainless steel wire that I got at a hardware store - Ook was the brand, and if you ask them where the picture hanging wire is that's usually where you can find it. But I think the company Ook also has an amazon store if you can't find it.

Great. How do you find Aluminum wire vis-a-vis Copper wire. Aluminum appears to be very soft. Does it retain shape if small pressure is applied. ? Kindly advise.. Thanks.

the Aluminum is still much softer than copper but after you've worked with it, it will retain its shape but is flexible enough to make adjustments. It does work harden like all the other wire. I will say it depends on the gauge. Like 20 gauge aluminum can be pretty floppy - if you use a 12 gauge like I did for these cuff bracelets it's much stiffer and will hold shape more readily which is why I use that gauge for these cuffs. It holds up pretty well.
