Wire:
Buy dead-soft whenever possible. If not, you can always anneal it. I buy in one pound spools usually. In a pinch, I'll purchase from my local hardware store.
Metalliferous has the best prices at less than 8 cents a foot (.076). Rio Grande is also less than 8 cents a foot (.079). Watch buying in small quantities! I've seen up to .50 cents a foot on some sites. Huge price difference compared to .08 a foot!

We all stand on the backs of our predecessors and peers - without whom, we would have to go back to square one each time we made something new (to us)! I have only just now found you, and sooo glad I did. I love to string beads, and trying to fool with wire, emphasis on “trying.” I learned more in this one video of yours than in any five others I’ve watched again and again. The 3 turn perfect circle is a miracle - I’ve already tried it. Before, it’s ALWAYS been hit and miss even tho I’ve done a thousand! That’s embarrassing! Honestly, now, I’ve got it! Thank you so much for that. And, making your beautiful spirals is another eye-opening, learning thing. The way you hold your finger to control the curve is the best tip. I’ve never done it exactly like that, and therefore never been as in control of the curve. I know, I know, it seems like, how could someone NOT know to do it. Well, you have a nw subscriber, and I hope so much that you’ll do more tutorials aimed at those of us who just can’t quite yet control wire, but truly want to. Thank you for a really great, really hopeful tutorial! All this from a new fan in Texas.✨💖✨

This tutorial set was so helpful! Thank you for your insights. I've been using these tips to refine smaller accents on my pieces. I'm still struggling with larger elements though. So for instance, making nice wire loops around my 4-in and 6-in plant pots. I can't seem to get the same leverage/control to finesse the curves quite so nicely. Do you have any suggestions for making nice smooth loops/coils/circles for larger pieces? Even if you don't, thanks so much for your time on these videos!
