Again such gorgeous stuff to play with! I’ve been thinking about what you said in the last video about not making a profit because of all the costly trims you are using. I really think you can increase the price of the journal accordingly. The journal is absolutely gorgeous already and I think people would be happy to pay a price that reflects the materials and artistry. As artists it feels kind of important to ask for what the work is worth. Of course you should do what feels right for you, feel free to ignore my two cents!

I have noticed that when opening a new bottle of FabriTac, users have left the flat membrane covering on top of the bottle, and just poking a hole in it to allow the glue to come through when the lid is replaced, rather than removing it. This has seemed to solve the goobering effect :)

Love these beautiful pieces! You're so very good at placement of all those yummy trims! Also, I don't know if it works with fabric tac, but whenever my Art Glitter Glue would act like a volcano, I would loosen the lid. I'm not sure how it gets tight in the first place, unless it's because the glue around the inside of the cap, doesn't give it a chance to breathe over time. But loosening the lid does help! Can't wait for your video of incorporating these strips into a journal! You're so much fun to watch, as always!!! Hugs!❤Suzy xx
@helenascott3895 жыл бұрын
Gorgeousness in bucket loads!! You are going to need an elephant to deliver this journal to its new owner, it’s going to weigh a ton!! Monica’s comment below rings a bell with me too, don’t worry about the extra cost of this journal, it’s obvious that it would be more, more trims, skill level, time, etc. If your journals were left on the Etsy shelf then, it may have to reassessed, but they DONT!!!! Lol. Anybody who follows you, knows their value and the love that goes into them, charge more, it’s going to be a one off designer item and they should cost more. TFS. 😻xx. P.S. just say it didn’t sell, I’d get a jumbo ✈️ to fly it across the pond! x

It's coming out so beautifully! How many pages will this journal be?
@gayleagostinelli_ct5 жыл бұрын
I usually do 15 to 20 pages in a one signature journal. This one maybe had a few more than 15. But 15 papers is 30 pages or 60 front and back. ❤️
@robinpowell27125 жыл бұрын
Thank you Gayle for reminders on the credit card use, Fray Check and Gesso. I have Gesso for card making, yet I forgot for what use. How, or why, is it used for junk journals? You put it on that book page pocket, but why? Is it just for a different effect? Thank you
@gayleagostinelli_ct5 жыл бұрын
You can write on gesso, so it’s good for covering or muting a background so it can be journaled on. And if you have a page that’s too bright, gesso mutes it or knocks back the color a little. Those are basically the two things I use it for. ❤️
@gretchenkleer92525 жыл бұрын
Ya know, one of those strips would make a neat closure for your journal! Just a thought. ;-)

Beautiful snippets, I do have a question, how will they work when cut apart, will the jewels, sequins, or tiny metal parts make it hard to cut? Will the thickness make it difficult to cut into smaller pieces? Almost too pretty to cut apart!
@gayleagostinelli_ct5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it hard to cut and sometimes a bead or two are lost, but sewing or glueing fixes it right up! Like the belly band I made with one...it’s just fine after being cut. I did do digitals if my snippet trims. So that’s an option if you’re worried about using the real thing. 😁❤️

P.S. I bought the Boho digi kit yesterday. 👍😊

Oooh I was worried you forgot those elephants and was going to be disappointed... it’s okay though... there they are :-D Community is one of the reasons I choose not to live in London and have a 1.5hr commute by train. I want my son to grow up where he knows the neighbours and I can ask for emergency cups of milk before the shop opens.
