It has been so nice to see the sequence of steps from start to finish. My goodness, there are a lot of skills involved in making a book. But it's all fun. I'm loving learning everything and starting the process.

I can’t believe how we make our journals the same way. Wow. How do you organize all your papers and ephemera I keep changing all the time. And when I make them I make about 20 apiece. . How is your room organized

Gayle, I've looked for some of the older LGB but I'm finding some from the 60's and younger. Am I correct in thinking that I shouldn't use those ones to create JJ to sell due to copyright laws? I haven't made one yet. Thanks for your advice in advance 💐🇺🇸🌈
@gayleagostinelli_ct6 жыл бұрын
teresa I’m no lawyer, so have no advice on copyrights. My feeling is though that people sell little golden books on Etsy, in thrift stores and elsewhere. I am doing the same. I don’t claim the story or illustration as my own. I give LGB and the author/illustrator credit. So I feel okay about it. I think everyone should do what they feel is okay. But I don’t see any difference between selling an altered LGB and selling an original LGB on Etsy. Hope that helps. Again I’m no lawyer, so that’s just my opinion. ❤️

What do I do when when my front page tears as I’m finishing up the binding of the second signature?
@gayleagostinelli_ct5 жыл бұрын
Maybe a washi tape repair? I’d use glue stick on the washi to make sure it holds. Depending where the tear is, you could put a pocket or tuck over it. ❤️
@Calicokate3485 жыл бұрын
It’s the bottom of the fold. I’ve tried tape, but maybe will try washi too. Thanks
