WOW! I love how you put everything together. Collage is my biggest challenge but I'm working on it. Your beautiful page would have made a great digital for us to purchase, just my thoughts. Thanks so much for all you do, very inspirational!

This was very helpful. I have wanted to make a scrap ribbon but was overwhelmed with the possibilities. The little book using ribbon was beautiful and a fun and easy way to make this type of ephemera. Thank you for sharing your creativity. Your digitals are stunning.

Everything you did was so beautiful. The collage page is particularly pretty. (I think the stitch you used was the Buttonhole stitch). The idea of using the different scraps is brilliant.

The stitch you used is just a basic zig zag stitch but you came close to a satin stitch. Just a little closer together would have been a satin stitch. But any closer and you run the risk of perforating your papers too much. Very fun ideas! TFS

Ah, thank you for the information! I was excited the zig zag made a thicker spine, but I was a little worried about how many holes there were so close together. Maybe next time I can fiddle with the controls on the machine and try not having them so tight, and see how that works. Thanks! -Kyra

Just found My Porch Prints a couple of weeks ago. Love this stuff, can't wait to make my first journal. Any suggestions on type of stitches and tension for the sewing machine? Thanks.
@myporchprints-junkjournalt53402 жыл бұрын
Aw, thanks for joining our little crafting family! Apologies, I'm not very educated in stitching. I just used the tightest zig zag stitch I had on my sewing machine (someone in the comments said it was close to becoming a satin stitch). If no one else comments with a suggestion for an actual setting for the machine, maybe just take a scrap piece of ribbon and try a few different stitches out to find which works best. Sorry I couldn't be more help in that department! -Kyra

I am new to this, how do you use the scrap collage sheet in the future?
@myporchprints-junkjournalt53402 жыл бұрын
Hello! You can tear or cut pieces of it up to use to decorate parts of your journal (like little clusters) or you could cut larger strips to create decorative book marks, cut it to make it into a corner pocket/tuck spot, or even use the whole thing to make a cover. The possibilities are endless!
