Just watched this video, yes it's a little old. Never knew this could be done for a fraction of the cost of dtf printers. My only question is do you have to have some type of software to make it print. I have always only used cricut and printable htv. So was just curious if you have to have anything extra to make the printer correctly print with all the different colors. I currently use an eco tank inkjet to print my htv printable vinyl. and only use my cricut design space for print and cut.

I’m using Digital Factory v10 Cadlink. You definitely need it in order to print. Most DTG and White Toner printers use similar softwares. You can also use AcroRip with this printer.

The issue with this will be the white ink. It has to be shaken daily to avoid it from separating and/or clogging the print head/nozzles. I've been doing DTF for well over a year with a L1800. It requires daily maintenance. Please keep us posted after a couple weeks. Good luck!

Patrice this is AMAZING!!! I had seen another youtuber do this with a different epson model. But hers only had 4 colors and she had to cut the film after it prints with a cricut or silhouette. It’s ok but I don’t like the fact that you can’t print white.

Most likely, it’s your settings. You have to tell the software that you want to print white over all colored pixels.

I did not find the cadlink program useful or use friendly, do you have another recommendation to set up tank color? Also how do you preform your alignments if the white is in the black tank?

Honestly, I find Cadlink to be easier than the other RIP Software that I use...acrorip. None of them are very user friendly. They all require research and testing to get your print setting correct. They all basically have the same functionality. Your machine doesn't know that white is in the black tank...so run nozzle checked and alignments as you would if black ink was installed.

My printer doesn't print correctly and I'm scared I messed something up when taking out the rollers 😥I got the left side out easily when taking out the screws but had a really hard time getting the right side out. It barely moved or jiggled, and a lot of videos I see they say you just have to pull a little, but I really had to yank that sucker off of the right side. Do you think I may ruined it? My test strips print all the colors but when I got to print it only prints one straight line of my photo, wondering if you might know if that's the cause or if I possibly ruined my print head :(

Hello dear, I got confused. When you took those 2 metal racks out (or did you take them out) did you? I got lost there. What were you doing, moving the print head out of the way so you could take those metal things out? Everything else is clear. (I noticed tshirt chick does not have ecotank but smaller cartridges(that’s what I have to convert) anyway Also didn’t know you could dry the adhesive with heat gun/or let sit under 90 degree temp on heat press. So can you clarify why you had to move or remove those pieces; thanks LilRoc

She says in the video. You remove the front rollers because they have little spurs on them that are normally used to pull the printer paper when printing. Since we converted it to a DTF print setup, those spurs will cause little imperfections in the wet ink, messing up the wet image. So it has to be removed. To compensate for removing those front rollers, we have to use a flat surface for the dtf film to lie on so the wet dtf ink can not run. I hope this helps!

So I seen a comment on another video saying that this will clog and break the printer in 3 months or so because the dtf in the printer will settle and clog and there is no way to stir it. So how far back does the board go ? And u stacked thr boards or attached them at the ends ?

very helpful! i feel like i want to do this but im very worried about messing up the printer/process since im super clumsy 😭 i also didint understand what you meant by removing the rollers by actvitaing and moving the wheels?, ill def watch more of these videos of yours to try to learn more
