I can’t wait to make this one. Wish I could do a loop. I only know how to do a teardrop loop but can’t do it when the colors are on the same side.

If I am making a loop on a pattern that doesn’t mirror (but has an even amount of strings), I make the loop and then I take 2 strings and make a square knot so that all of the strings are grouped together. You can also achieve this with 1 string and make a “forward knot” so to speak on all of the strands. Either one to group them all together! Then I map out where I want the shaped start to start on the pattern, then I start on the pattern itself after that. 😁

I’m going to try that. Do I need to do a shaped start after the square knot or can I just start on the pattern.

I watched your shaped starts tutorial and I’m confused on how you go from the shaped start to the first steps in the tutorial on this bracelet. I love making bracelets, but I get so frustrated that I can’t look at a pattern and just know how to segment knot it. I have to do it row by row, unless I watch a tutorial.

@tiffanyharlow7732 you can also just knot patterns row by row (like how 1212 patterns are worked up) until you can get the hang of reading patterns. I know Masha Knots has tutorials on how to read patterns and on how to segment knot so I recommend giving those a watch. She made them specifically FOR the BraceletBook website at one point so they ought to be super informative! 😁
