Saw a video where they said if you run out of chalk paint mix paint with baking soda and you may never go back because it’s so much cheaper and seconds to make!

@@craft.eat.repeat.6376 GooGone from Dollar Tree leaves an oily residue that would affect a water based stain. Maybe use some Dawn or other degreaser like Crud Kutter after the GooGone and before you stain. I love GooGone for plastic and glass but honestly never used it on wood. Have you tried alcohol on the residue??

Rub a bit of corn starch or talc (a way to use that up) let it sit for a short time then sand it off.

Those vases! I've always love that look but my wallet said "no". The planter was fabulous. The only thing I'd do differently is cut the bottom supports on an angle so they would sit flat. I'm going shopping tomorrow and adding a stop at DT for supplies!
