You should try the Dear Barber Mattifier it's amazing Great Matte thickening high hold Still combs and it's got grip but not too much. It's it just a great product. It comes in a dark wooden jar, it has light good smell and I can't wait to try there other products. Btw I try products non-stop about 2-4 new ones a week. I even started a fb page. Anyways out of the 300+ products I've probably tried, I would this is definitely top 15 maybe even top 10(especially for for fine hair)

@ToviahEzekielLevitan2 жыл бұрын
You should retry some of the By Vilain They reformulated and repackaged a lot of their stuff for example silver fox Not only was reformulated a little bit but just recently it was reformulated again I can tell because I just bought some and they have wrecking Ball 2.0 that just came out as well as a limited edition sidekick freestyler and they're all really good they have like a unique tropical smell or whatever on the sidekick and honestly I love the new silver Fox formula instead of being as thick as it used to be it's a little bit easier to get through the hair and the hands it's not as thicken sticky it still has the exact same hold and nice matte to very very low shine finish I would call it Matt unless you have black hair and it really holds up all day long also the new pregame from the salon guy is really good too he reformulated it somewhat it's not as thick as it used to be and doesn't have the same banana spice scent which I honestly miss but it has more of a matte finish in the end and honestly works so much better it has really good all day hold Also you should review the slikhair products, I'm not talking about By Vilain. I know that's their company that does By Vilain, but they actually have their own products there's three of them if I remember correctly there's extreme & extravagant, slick & shiny, and Dry & Dirty...they also have a pre-styler called Rocket Fuel. Besides that you should check out Arcadian they have a new product that technically is actually a product they had limited time, but then brought back it's called shiitake texture paste, if I remember correctly. Arcadian's Texture Spray is also very good. Besides those, I can't think of any others right now that you should look into.

@jcs12913 жыл бұрын
@@TDMStyle Oribe prices me out mostly. But my hair stylist gifted me the featherbalm and its really killer. Davines clay is a really unique oil based. Lightweight, gritty, med-firm hold, dry but not drying with lasting control/endurance. Also washes out as easy as a water based. Really great stuff. Davines also makes killer shampoos/conditioners.

Been trying to look for a BEACHY feeling type of sea salt. Doesn’t sound like these one is. What do you think? Have you try it natural dry after putting on the product?
@TDMStyle3 жыл бұрын
Actually yeah I just did that the other day - applied a small scoop into damp hair, let it air dry, and it came out like a sea salt spray would but with added texture and less frizz. Worked great!

I’m curious. You’ve got coarse hair but what’s your hair porosity? If I use shampoo and conditioners and even some styling products with protein included it can make my hair brittle and frizzy. Basically low to medium porosity

I have no idea, but my hair loves product with protein in it. So, high porosity?

@@TDMStyle Defo. My hair is low so if I used this shampoo and conditioner it would make my hair more damaged and moisture deprived. @@TDMStyle how does this compare to the Stickmore carbon fiber paste for thinner/straight hair? My Stickmore styling cream is about gone and I’m looking for something new. Love how it holds but it’s crazy sticky/tuggy and a bit too dry looking.

I’m new to hair product world since the gel days . What’s the difference of pomade and clay ? I have thick straight hair .I just purchased hustle from the salon guy would that be good . I’m looking for a natural feel I don’t wanna feel the sticky ness but I want a hold. Is that good what I bought ?
@TDMStyle3 жыл бұрын
Very generally speaking, pomades are typically waxier products that have more shine and a weightier, more fine-textured hold and are mostly used for cleaner/combed styles, classic pomps, slickbacks, etc. Clays are drier and usually matte or natural finish with a coarse texture and are meant for more natural/messy/voluminous styles. Hustle is a great option for what you described, so I think it will work well for you!

@@TDMStyle do you still esteem it greatly?
@TDMStyle2 жыл бұрын
@@serenei007 It’s still solid, but I think the new formula is better for folks with straighter/finer hair types because it has a thickening effect and can be a bit on the drier side because of the diatomaceous earth in it
