Crafting a 300+ Exalt Spark Helmet for Low-Life Aurastacker [Path of Exile 3.17 Archnemesis]

I know this craft is pretty far from being easily replicatable and it's outside the realm of most budgets but I know a lot of people like to see what goes on in the high-investment realm of crafting in PoE so I thought it would be fun content to post. When I first got into Path of Exile Demi's crafting videos were some of my favorite things to watch even though I had no clue what was going most of the time because it was entertaining to see how gg crafts were done in the past and I'm sure a lot of people share that interest as well. Also: sniping ES bases like this early league and making budget versions of them with multi-mod instead of chaos res is extremely profitable.

hey i have a question would the beast pref to suff for t1 int even work? i thought the added line is gated by the beast ilvl?

I'm not actually sure now that you mention it. I've had a lot of people tell me that as long as your item is higher ilvl than the beast it doesn't matter but I've also heard you can't hit a higher ilvl mod than the beast you are using. I tried finding reliable sources on this 2 weeks ago and couldn't really locate anything convincing though.

Pretty sure it is, never seen a higher level mod than the beast level. But I've not specifically tested for it

@@SpicysushiPoE On the last Path of Mat' video (12L Claw), is claw base was ilvl 75. And succesfully applied ilvl 83 mods on it through Beast suffix to prefix.

i like these high-budget things a lot because more often than not, you hit a problem and have to solve it. do you think it would be good content to make something more focused on that problemsolving, i.e. what do if you have cluttered affixes but need to keep around the elevated suffix, etc?

How do you exactly get the chaos res if you arent lucky? You hit t1 int with essence. then free a suffix with annul if necessary, then you just exalt slam for the chaos res?` Is meta crafting with suffixes cannot be changed and then using the harvest reforge including chaos modifier not cheaper?

yes you reforge chaos for 1/6 to hit t1

8:00 why would aisling not work here ? you could have remove the bad mod. The amount off Ex you spent to try to get the seperate t1 vs a failed ailing and ref keep suf should be way higher right ?

if I removed Suffix lock I would need to restart. If I had hit the bad mod I would have had to restart. So it would have been a 33% chance of success for 5-6 exalts investment. I decided that it wouldn't be worth the hassle since there was only a 1/3 chance of success here.

The thing is imagine he kept both hybrid and increased es mods, now he goes aisling and hits the crafted modifier 'suffixes cannot be changed'. He now has an item with still both the hybrid and the regular increased es mods + an aisling modifier. Now he can't block off summons skeletons + he has no space to craft flat es. By using aisling on the helm with 2 prefixes he's in fact reducing his chance of keeping the regular increased es mod from 50% chance to 33% chance.

@@SpicysushiPoE It still seems worth it. you will go %50 %50 on the aisling anyway if you get only t1 es, going %33 instead when you have the chance for 2ex + aisling seems worth to me.

@@Er2_Official I think you are counting a 1/3 as the same cost as 1/2 in this scenario. You need to triple the aisling and suffix lock cost for the first scenario. Aisling hasn't been cheap for a couple of weeks. As you saw in the video it was 4 ex. I play at late hours so I can't always get to the "cheap" 3 ex Aislings that are posted during the most active hours. So (4 ex + 2 ex) * 3 = 18 ex on average to succeed and then you could possibly fail the unveil. If you decided to use this method multiple times at an assumed 1/2 chance to unveil the correct mod with blocking you could be looking at 36 Exalts not counting reforge defence. If you look at it from my method let's assume (4 ex + 2 ex) * 2 = 12 ex and then * 2 for the unveil = 24 ex on average not counting reforge defence. I guess you could just mix these 1/3 chances in with 1/2 but I don't see it being worth it.

@@SpicysushiPoE Yeah but why arent you counting reforge defence? Thats the whole point. You reforge, you got lucky and unlucky at the same time with an extra mod, you can roll over it and hope to get another t1 by spending exalts, or you can your luck with aisling for 1/3. Even if its 6 exalts, you have a chance to "finish" the item, but if you roll over you are looking at 30000 weightings in defence prefixes on an ilvl85 hubris, if we assume you want either t1 %es or t1 flat es, thats 1/15. My point being, if you "happen to get" a t1 mod with another mod, mathematically speaking, its cost efficient to always try aisling.

Next time you are perfecting a benchcraft (74 %) please don't move your mouse up and down, the item is displayed with the mod on the side without you highlighting it. I know from having a bad habit of doing it myself for too long :)

4:28 this must have been the stupidest sequence of luck I have seen in POE, and I have played ALOT of PoE and watched alot of crafting video's. Hit the 30% qual with the first gilded fossil, and then hit a 1 in 14.5k seconds after that. Must have been the gilded fossils of all gilded fossils
