My first layering stamp was Altenew's Build A Flower: Chrysanthemum.

New to stamping, I just bought several sets of the altenew crisp dye ink pads. Using a somewhat lite color I’ve stamped 75-100 different times using 3 different stamps. I get splotchy images over and over after cleaning each stamp, using three different types of erasers, using versamark watermark then wiping the stamp over the palm of my hand after each of these numerous times, test over and over. I even sanded a few stamps in the past using a different brand ink pad without clear images. What am I doing wrong? Can you offer help that will actually work? Ink pads are far too expensive to have to do so much work over and over with hit and miss. Trying to just create a beautiful, simple card or a stamped layout… thanks for your help

Hi Darlene! Thank you so much for your message. If you are using a new stamp set, it is best to condition it using a conditioning eraser.
