So many great tips and not just those you mentioned but tips I picked up on just watching you, such as the additional piece of plastic with the flowers on it you flipped back and forth to help decide placement, using washi tape to secure down your cardstock, washintape on your magnets! So many great ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Oh man, Jaycee, you really outdid yourself with this one!! I can't believe you fussy cut the majestic blooms! Great tip about sending the cut flower back through the machine for a die-cut-edge look! I've never had much success with inking embossing folders, but maybe with the 3D ones that are out these days, that will change. And did you say the black ink makes it look more PUNK? 😂😂😂
@JayceeGaspar3 жыл бұрын
I couldn't think of a better way of describing the added black ink. I was thinking of those iron-on patches when making the second card. For some reason the item that came to mind were those patched jean jackets with the black detailing in the patches.

@@JayceeGaspar ..I have loved watching your cardmaking and wondered if there are any particular inks that shouldn't be used directly on the embossing folders ...I want to try the black letterpress technique but I have archival and pigment black ink stamps. 2:31
@JayceeGaspar Жыл бұрын
@@gailkeefer9182 That's a great question. I have had great luck with Altenew's Dye, Fresh Dye, Pigment (Obsidian), and Mixed Media Inks. I think Ranger's Archival ink is an oil-based permanent ink similar to Altenew's Pigment Ink, so it should come off the embossing folder surface with soap and water. The ink formulation I would avoid are solvent inks like StazOn.

Thank you so much for these idea’s. I have purchased several of the 3D embossing folders and was looking for some new ways to use them. I love the size of these folders, many of the embossing folders on the market today are either smaller or rectangle, the large square size gives us many more options. I am dying to get my inks out and “go for it”! Thanks again….

Wow, such an impact, and look sooo real. The black makes it stand right out..love it. Love the technique of ripping paper, didnt think of that,and make a statement. QUESTION.. noticed you have your flowers arranged onto a paper to place on card front. Is that wax paper and how did you stick it to it?? You didnt show that step. Liked that idea. Thank you for this. Will have to try.

Laura, thank you so much for watching! Is the product you're referring to at 8:37 and 12:16 ? I have to give credit to Jennifer McGuire for sharing this in a video a long time ago. It is Glad Press'n Seal (R). It's great for holding on to individual paper pieces temporarily so I can move my pre-arranged elements on and off my card front. I can apply glue to the back of my floral elements, bring the Press'n Seal (R) back to my cardstock, and then remove the Press'n Seal (R). It's reusable too!

Great video! Altenew has spectacular products! QUESTION: when using the pigment/permanent ink....does it stain the folder? TYFS ❤️🦋💜
@JayceeGaspar3 жыл бұрын
Hi Cindy that's a great question. I've used Altenew pigment inks in Obsidian, and both Golds. I've used the Mixed Media Inks and a magnitude of Crisp Dye inks especially the reds (notorious for staining photopolymer stamps). None of these have stained my 3D Embossing folders. I clean my embossing folders with a mild soap and water dilution in a spray bottle and wipe the folder clean with a microfiber cloth after doing these inking techniques.
