Vickey, I love your channel and the things you do. I am a messy scrapper also and have a large desk. Things are always following off the sides and the back. The area I use is about 12x12.

I don't understand people all the time. What difference does it make if your desk is messy or clean. The reason I watch is for the inspiration and can't wait to see what you do with your supplies. My desk is messy too. After I finish a project, I do try to put away the thinks I will not be using for the next project. Sometimes I don't. Thank you so sharing these beautiful cards.

"First of all, how dare this individual leave such a rude comment about your desk being messy!" I do not know of anyone that has a tidy clean orderly work area for the type of crafting ( we ) do! As the many loyal followers have stated below in the comment section. I for one do not have a tidy work area, but still know where things are. And that's how I craft, so I hope that this person never bothers you again in such a terrible way. We are all behind you 100 percent sweetie, so never worry about people like this. You go on teaching us and bringing joy to us all! We love you sweetie. :) And I love the cards you have made in this tutorial, so creative, I would not have thought to do what you have showed us. I love everything you do and your desk will never get too messy for me. When I'm crafting my craft area is a disaster zone and I love it. Like you said...we have such limited time in the day to do something we love. Why spend it watching something that annoys us and then spend even more time composing negative criticism just to hurt people. Love you just the way you are !!

I can't see how your desk being messy is a problem myself, if it bothers some people then they should stop watching. I'm a messy crafter and when I craft the room ends up in total chaos!!! They do say that artistic people tend to be messy, but I think that's because we care more about the project we are working on than what our workspace looks like. I'm now at an age where I really don't care what people think, I'm me and I like me if others don't then that's their problem. Just keep doing what you love, as long as you're having a good time that's what actually matters.xx

A messy desk is something we ALL relate to when we are creating! Any crafter truly should understand that. I love these nativity cards, Vicky. I know they are not your usual themed style, but there is a market out there for these. You did a beautiful job renewing these cards! Glad you put a disclaimer out about your desk. Creativity means a messy desk. Anyone can see that your area is small (like mine) and when you are creating, you end up with a mess -- that shows you've been busy. Enjoyed seeing the cards you received. Your cards are so awesome, VERY inspiring to me (a hoarder of cards) how you can get five or six cards out of just a couple of cards and embellishments. And I agree with the others -- it is so EASY for my desk to get messy when I craft! I often stop and think, "Wow, how did all this stuff get here?" so I'll put it all away and then start over. Comments like that are discouraging!! Not helpful at all. It's called a critical spirit, and I hope you're able to ignore it because it IS the other person's problem! Thank you for sharing your talents and ideas!!

I really like how all of the cards turned out. I love making cards and plan to make Christmas cards all year so I will have enough in December and won't be running around trying to get them made and mailed out. The tree on my Christmas was the middle of the front of a card I recycled. I cut it to fit my base. The rest of the card I used as decoration on a couple of other cards I made. Just doing what I have learned from you. 😉

People who make negative comments need to keep quiet. Most crafters have messy work areas. I've heard it said that creative people work better when things aren't to neat and have a higher IQ than thoes who are super neat

I was watching KZbin with my granddaughter and explained the use of the thumbs up/thumbs down buttons like this: There is never a reason to push the thumbs down - if you find a need to say something negative CHANGE THE CHANNEL. Not sure if you will see this, but I want to let you know it is reassuring to see your desk in disarray! I have always thought how can people create with the clean desks! I watch many videos of crafters and cannot believe the audacity of viewers telling the video creator how they should craft or do their cards. Oh and I love the background noise! One crafter I watch has an African Grey Parrot and in one video it was making a sound that sounded like my smoke detectors, so I was checking them to see which one needed a new battery. 😁 Keep up the great work!

I LOVE how your cards turned out today. I'm inspired to ask others for their unwanted cards. Because your craft area is small, it's likely to get cluttered. You zoom in on what you're working on , so we don't see it. I would know, because I find messy distracting. I have shut other crafter's videos off because they were too messy for me to watch. It doesn't bother them that their work surface is covered in grime. I noticed you work on a clean glass surface. I appreciate that. I used to have a cleaning obsessive compulsive disorder. Now my body is too worn out to care as much. People who comment on messiness are probably OCD too. It's their problem, not yours. You could direct them to consult a therapist.

Hi Vicky, just had to pop in when I saw this was the 2020 year...I made all my cards for this past Christmas (50 in all) and I did them them in July and August when it was too hot outside to do anything, and it made me cooler seeing all the snow and icicles etc. haha. I also went back through several of your videos and garnered ideas especially in the layering technique that really helped make my cards pop. I loved what you did here especially with the small ones. Do you make your own envelopes for them? Thank you for sharing all your ideas with us. Have a Blessed day. Oh, btw..my work table is much messier....how can anyone craft these cards, tags etc. if they don't have the stuff out there to catch their eye!!!!!

I have no idea Margaret how they can have inspiration if they don't see the stuff laying around.... I wouldn't be crafting the same way for sure. I purchase those card base at the thrift store and they came with envelopes. So no I don't do my envelopes even if I can with the tool that I have.

When I make the nativity scene cards, I sometimes just use my circle cutter from creative memories and cut it out that way to fit on a card. I absolutely love all your videos. When I started to make cards, I didn't do the embellishments until another day, talk about a mess. Now I just do it all at same time.
