It would be hard to express how much I appreciate you showing that sometimes, it doesn’t work out, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd…. You know what I am saying. It takes trial and error sometimes and you have to be ok with failing if you want to get great results sometimes. I get frustrated when I have to keep trying sometimes, but when I get it, that thrill, or your squeak, is all worth it! My failures make me better each time. Different products work different ways. As they say, try, try, and try again. Don’t give up when your results aren’t as stellar as you want them to be. Keep going, and they will be. We ALL have failures!

Hi, Ms. Delonda it's me again. lol Just wanted to say you are such a wonderful person. I have to tell you after I seen the nome videos with the gray shirt, I myself begin to test shirts that I had with the DTF as well. It's funny how they show dark colors on the package and state that it's for dark colors but it's not all true because I tested shirts as well. I figured maybe they meant to say they have a different powder for dark shirts, who knows. Lol anyhow I tested various colors and yes gray does really good, yellow, more than likely white for sure and I also tested a like forest green and it wasn't too bad but the black and purple are tough materials. Anyhow just wanted to share this with you and the others, life is so much fun. 😄

Question, So does Cricut design space allow you to make bigger designs for Print then Cut IF you use their shirt template? Only asking because i get so frustrated when i want a bigger design for print then cut, yet it only allows me to make the design 7.44 × 12.94 when im using 8.5×14 paper. Or are you using bigger paper then that and i just didnt hear it?

I’m still trying to get it done. 😂 I concluded that I used too much pressure on my white apron. Today, I took the apron into the bathroom and used some warm water and soft soap and washed the stuck paper off the apron. Now, the apron looks GREAT! With the exception of the ink splotches that are on the apron that I didn’t realize was on the back of the film… because the corners of the film had roll up while it was printing and ink got underneath the film. And this film is actually paper. I’ll have to put a image over the mistakes to hide them. I’m designing some autism awareness t-shirts this evening. Thank you for all you do. PS. Luda has his new squeaky toy and is really enjoying it. Squeaky all day long.

I ended up buying a storage container that was about same length as 13x19 paper and it's height about 6 or 7 inches.i have small plastic cup I leave in it holding powder. So after print I lay in down in box holding 1 side and use cup to just pour some and then grab other end of paper and let it rollover all couple times. Then I can let it roll off paper into cup what's left on there. Then what's in box tap on bottom to get powder to 1 corner and put back in cup. But it's great to keep in there and has a lid on box to keep anything out too.

Thank you for posting and pointing out that you used a white background to complete this process. I have seen so many videos of people having success with DTF but I have not had success yet. I have been trying it on white cotton shirts. I may try a black shirt with the white vinyl to see if I can get it to work though I really had hoped to be able to use it without vinyl behind it. Great tutorial.. my question is was it necessary to do the DTF when using the White htv? I did the same technique myself a few weeks ago and I was asking a question on a Cricut Facebook group and someone asked me why I was doing the dtf with the htv. They said it was basically an extra step that wasn’t necessary. When I was doing it this way my intention was for the texture that the DTF gives it. Could you please tell me why (you) decided to go this route with your shirt as far as what you were hoping to achieve by it? I’m just trying to figure out what the benefit is as opposed to not using it and just going with the white htv. (When you need white that is.) Thanks so much for doing all of those tests for us as well! It’s something I had wanted to do myself but just couldn’t find the time to so I really appreciate that. I know it took some time, and so much patience!!! ❤️

@@CraftingwithDelonda ok I think that must be why I did it that way then to begin with. 🤪 There are just so many different exceptions to remember. I have such a hard time trying to remember all of them at different times for some reason. I need some kind of a visual cheat sheet with everything on it to reference it all at the same time maybe. Getting back to my question what’s the difference between the Dtf/htv hack verse’s sublimating overtop of clear vinyl? I mean difference between the two as far as why you’d prefer one or the other? I think that’s what the lady in the Fb group was saying I could have just done instead of doing the dtf/htv. (On dark shirt.) Saying I could have just sublimated it over the clear/white htv. … I’m just confused on the difference of the two. Why take the extra step for the dtf/htv if sublimating it over the htv gives same results? Or maybe not? Thanks so much for such helpful info! ❤️
@CraftingwithDelonda
@CraftingwithDelonda Жыл бұрын
I guess because there are so many ways to do everything, it just comes down to a matter of personal preference. I prefer the sublimation HTV for dark fabric hack because it is just easier and it cost effective.

What is the difference between doing this dtf “hack” over the sublimation on cotton “hack”? Both require white htv vinyl on dark garments but this just seems to include powder and different paper as an extra step. Is there a different feel? Does it last longer? Wondering why someone with a sublimation printer would use this process instead of just sublimating onto white sublimation vinyl onto dark cotton?

Love your videos. I just got the et 15000. I’m having a problem with the dtf film feeding through the back. It is saying paper jam and sending the film through. Any suggestions on what I need to do?
@CraftingwithDelonda
@CraftingwithDelonda 5 ай бұрын
You can try adjusting the density or you can also try using a thicker DTF film. Yamation makes one that is pretty thick and it is standard size.

Can anyone explain why you need special DTF paper and powder if you are sublimating onto vinyl??? They have white sublimation vinyl. So I'm just trying to understand if anyone wouldn't mind explaining.
@CraftingwithDelonda
@CraftingwithDelonda Жыл бұрын
You need those things to follow this process. There are a lot of ways to do things. This is one way. If this is too complicated, try something else.
@playtone229

@@CraftingwithDelonda it’s not that it’s too complicated and I wasn't trying to be critical; I think you have amazing videos. It’s just me trying to ensure I’m not missing something. Thank you.

Hi Delonda, What if I want that size image, I make shirts for my ASD SON who is 5XL, but I only have an A4 printer pleasse. how do I make this.
@CraftingwithDelonda
@CraftingwithDelonda 3 ай бұрын
Hi there, in order to make an image this size (with an A4 printer) you would need to piece the images together. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with doing that.

Hi Delonda! I just love watching your videos! You are so upbeat and so enthusiastic! I was wondering if you tried using 143 vinyl soft flex for your basic cut? I did and I loved the feel of it on the garment. Light weight and stretchy. And colors were very vibrant! Thank you for your videos! 🌹
