In this video, you will learn how to add elastic to the Dollar Tree mini composition books. I will teach you how to do that in two different ways: with eyelets and without so that you can do it even if you don’t have an eyelet setter, like the Crop-A-Dile.

Thank you for this tutorial! I don't know how it popped up 10 months later but I'm glad it did - I was just thinking this morning that I need to start looking for a new notebook/planner for next years budget and I like to have the elastic band on them. I'm VERY picky about the size, orientation, line spacing etc so finding everything I want AND the band attached is near impossible. Now I can look at ALL notebooks/planners and when I find the perfect one I can add the band myself!! YAY!!

Thank you for the elastic idea. I usually turn the crocodile over and slide the ruler to my measurement and fasten with the screw. Great book.

If you turn your crop a dile over you can look through the hole on the top and see your mark that you made.

Absolutely yes, do tutorial on the teabag ornament. We will be decorating the community room tree in a week and I would love to add them to tree for others to enjoy. Oh, look at your ruler closely it looks like it's only 1/2 inch, it's why it looked like the crocodile was off. When it's all the way in it's 1", half way line is 1/2". Just thought I'd bring it up so you can look closely on future videos.

How do the corners hold up since it doesn't follow the rounded edge?

The elastic is not on the edge so it holds fine.
