Lip balm purse (Craft fair series 2022)

Today’s tutorial is part of my Christmas craft fair ideas 2022 and the star of the show is a very pretty tiny purse. This purse is used to hold a lip balm of any size; I made sure it fits the largest in the market. This is an easy project, which is perfect for gifting your friends, filling up those stockings, and selling at craft fairs and bazaars.

MEASUREMENTS:
1. Cut a 6 x 6 in cardstock sheet at 5 1/2 in on one of the sides, you will end up with a piece of paper that measures 5 1/2 in by 6 in.
2. On the 5 1/2 in side, score at 2 1/4 and 3 1/4 in.
3. On the 6 in side, score at 1 1/4 and 4 3/4 in.
4. Use the 1/2 in left of the paper to make two handles by cutting it in half. Each handle should be 5 in by 1/4 in.
5. Cut two pieces of paper for the detail on the top of the purse. The size is 3 1/2 in by 1/2 in.

I put my Velcro together first then cut it in half and I do that while it's still on the plastic backing paper.

i think that is very cute!! One suggestion I would make is adding the closure strip underneath the strip on the back to help make it stronger. You did an awesome job explaining these! I cant wait to make some!!

This design is great for giving gift cards as well. If you make a score line 1/2" past the bottom of the purse. This will allow you to fold the purse like a gift bag. Fyi you might want to try Barely art glue. It seals in seconds which helps when making 3D projects. 😍

@@craftingwithpaula Gift cards are more popular than ever, so they would be sellers at craft fairs. The first pocket of tags you showed for craft fairs had 3 or 4 gorgeous tags in it, that would also be perfect for gift cards. People absolutely snatch them up quick.

@Zanesmomma69 probably 5$ each. They have real chain to wear over the shoulders. I make the Burken bags that are normal size. You can use them as gift bags, lunch bags, or some carry as a purse. I would have to check the price on the material used to make them now before saying how much I would charge for those now.
