Thanks for this video. My kid loves axolotl, will be perfect for a bag dangle.

What type of string do you use? We are having a hard time finding string that works well.
@learnalotl7 ай бұрын
I use boondoggle! It comes in any color and is easy to string through standard sized pony beads. It also holds the bead animals shape very well. 👍

I’m coming from part two, when I do the second gill it doesn’t stay. It’s loose and not tightening toward the head
@learnalotl3 ай бұрын
That can be tricky! Try grabbing on to the top bead of the gill with one hand and the end of the string with the other. Pull apart slowly and it should tighten up. If it doesn’t, make the gill as close as you can to the body and then make the next row of the head. Once the row is there, you should be able to pull on the loops and ends until it’s in place.

How many of each colored beed do you need for this? I need to make it with nine girls, so I wanna make sure I have enough.
@learnalotl9 ай бұрын
That sounds like a blast! 96 Body beads (Color 1) 34 Gill beads (Color 2) 2 Eye beads (Color 3) 22 Belly beads (Color 4) I recommend having extra of all colors because there are always a few that may roll away or even break during crafting.

How long is the lanyard need to be
@learnalotl11 ай бұрын
I usually use about 9 feet, but that leaves me with alot of extra string. It’s better to start with too much and cut it, than to realize it’s too short when you’re almost done.

How many inches of lanyard did you use?
@learnalotl Жыл бұрын
So sorry for the delay! I use 108 inches or about 9 feet. That leaves plenty of extra for finishing it off.
