Hey guys! In this video I thought it would be fun to go through a few of my older projects that didn't exactly go as planned. It's always been my goal to show you projects that actually work - but sometimes things just don't hold up! (PS - hopefully the audio isn't too messed up - I need to set up an indoor filming space before I do any more "on camera" videos!) My dad got me this scented modelling clay set once, so I made fruits out of every color and piled them up inside a plastic container and put it on a shelf and forgot about it. Fast forward a few years later when I was cleaning out my room and found it. I was excited to find an excuse to stop cleaning and start playing with the synthetic strawberry scented stuff again, but as soon as I opened the container it stank up my whole room with the smell of car oil, and the clay was so degraded that it crumbled in some parts and had a layer of yellowish grease in others. My hands felt so gross and slimy and I had to wash them in vinegar to get rid of the grease. I threw em all out. R.i.p clay fruits :'(

Oh no! That sounds like such a cool idea, that sucks that the clay didn’t last.

so last year i got posca pens and was so excited to use them. I decided to put them on my tablet case and it ended up looking horrible! The paint chips of, the colors don't looks good and it is just not a good idea. So, if you have a tablet case that has the 3 sectioned thing so you can fold it up and hold up your tablet, you might want to rethink before you paint it. Anyways, i enjoyed the video, can't wait to see another one:)
@MeganWeller3 жыл бұрын

I had major flashbacks to my woodworking horror when you mentioned, "power tools are not as scary as you think." Back in HS, I ended up starting one of the saws directly on top of the wood while our teacher had told us not to do this... Alas, I almost took out several students as that piece of wood went flying.

One of my crafts that didn’t work well, was when I used a card board box and made cardboard panels, so that I could organize my pens, pencils, and markers. The thing is I don’t own hot glue, so I tried using tape. I was considering to paint it, which I’m glad I didn’t , because in the end it all crashed together, so there’s hardly any organization now…

Sounds a little like my “drawer dividers” fail! I’d highly recommend investing in a hot glue gun - you can get them for about $5 at the craft store, and you can get the glue sticks at the dollar tree. It makes a huge difference! 💜

@MeganWeller3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you definitely have to be careful with air dry clay/make sure it’s completely dry! That’s why I like polymer clay - 15 minutes in the oven and you’re set! I have a few failed paintings as well - I tried to do a “Bob Ross” oil painting but quickly learned that oil paints aren’t my thing😅 💜

@@MeganWeller I can't wear high waisted pants because they just don't look good on me cause I have hip dips, so I don't have that much experience with that issue. But I have had skirts hit me at weird places between my waist and hips because they were to big to sit at my waist and too small to sit on my hips.
