I don’t know why but watching this gentleman enjoy making such a simple yet fun toy warms my heart. I just want to hug him and sit and listen to anything he wants to say.

Its remarkable to me the difference between videos from Japan/Asia and the ones from the West....The people from the West tend to think they need to fill a video with every thought that pops in their head, or give an explanation ...the ones from Japan let action speak for themselves. Well done, and thank you for sharing your craft.

wonderful craftsmanship and dexterity, but many questions come to mind - none intended to diminish the act of making a toy that is extraordinary if it still captivates the children of such a technologically advanced nation. Is this that craftsman's only job? Has he passed his knowledge on to a younger person? Are the houses behind him when he is launching the bamboo dragonflies his property? is his hair really so dark? But many thanks for sharing a wonderful process. Arigato. Tom (from France).
