Since I have a bunch of there batteries/tools I will probably grab that invertor. I might not use it a lot, but I can think of a couple of things that would make my life better to grab a battery and that vs dealing with the extension cord. I really want them to come out with a hot glue gun.

I purchased the soldering iron. Lowes has a BOGO, so I could have gotten it for free, but already had the tools that were part of the deal. Iron is not bad. Got it for on the road emergency repairs. As for those who say you can get it cheaper on Etsy, good luck! Couldn't find one for the V20 line. Closest I could get was over $100 for a iron made for the Dewalt line (from Australia), and that would require a battery converter to fit the V20 batteries.

Got the inverter a few weeks ago, its definitely useful for anything under 150W, including soldering irons so you dont need the soldering attachment if you already have one. The inverter is great for powering LED lights with a socket adapter. You know those super bright 30W+ garage/attic type lights? yep they can be used on the inverter with a socket adapter lol, and even LED Floodlight style lights for the hell of it. The USB-C port is samsung fast charge capable even though its supposed to be a 5V output, so nice to have. Another note: Power hungry devices like Fans wont be too happy with the power being supplied. With a 66W Floodlight load it runs at 59.xHz and 121V in case anyone was curious about the output of the outlet. All in all its a nice thing to have for a Mini UPS, connect a surge protector to it (just in case) and you're good to go.

Been in V20 line for a couple years doing my home reno and woodworking, but the lack of options has been a thorn in my side. Literally just bulk ordered into Ryobi and am selling all my Craftsman stuff since Ryobi had so many options and constant innovations. For a lower price point to boot. Not to mention I am confident that their battery platform will be a constant going forward. This video just told me Craftsman is just trying to catch up if anything. Thanks for the info 👍🏽

Modern craftsman is a much newer brand than Ryobi. It will take a while to become a true competitor. I don't personally use either brand, but they are an incredible value for a DIY/homeowner or small scale pro. I recently did a project with a buddy who uses Ryobi. I was unimpressed, but the tools work for sure.

Ive never paid for Craftsman V20 batteries. Every time I bought a tool, I got a free charger and battery combo. Now I’ve got about six or seven 4ah and two 1.3ah batteries. For home owner use, they’ve been more than adequate. If I had to make my living with my tools I think the craftsman line would last at least until I can my pay check to buy contractor grade tools probably Milwaukee to keep the red color going - I mean because of reviews and stuff.

Still not enough reason to get into the craftsman line, quality just isn't there and far too few tools. They are way late into this game that ryobi has lived in for decades. I ran some ryobi tools along side my dewalt when still working as a commercial electrician. The fan ryobi had that wasn't one of these goose neck fans but more like a small box fan was one tool that went on every job and stayed on the lifts when working in warehouse ceilings running pipe. It can be upwards of 140° at the beams and that fan moved enough air to make it bearable to do the work without having to drop to the ground every ten minutes to cool down.

Price to performance SBD-CRAFTSMAN takes the cake almost all my lime green Ryobi tools fail on me. These Craftsman tools I've been beating up for the last three years, they don't look it but they run like brand new. My corded Ryobi navy blue tools have been with me for the last 10 years and still run perfectly fine but when they switch to lime green All quality went out the window. These Craftsman tools have DeWalt quality with a Stanley discount and a Craftsman warranty.

Soldering iron and grinder...how is it an advantage to have a battery tool that still has a cord? 🤪🤪🤪
@ronnie3044
@ronnie3044 2 жыл бұрын
Because they dont need to be plugged in to a wall. "No cords" is only one advantage to cordless tools. The major advantage is the fact that you can use them anywhere even if theres no power. I have the dremel and its great for a lot of things and I am waiting for the soldering iron to come i stock to order it. I have a pencil soldering iron that can work off battery packs but the tips are pretty pricey so hopefully the craftsman will work out better.

1. The bundle deals can make different brands the best value while buying. 2. Some virtue in having a cheap line some tools and an expensive one for tools you like more. 3. The channel caters to people with every platform/brand you can imagine so he showcases every platform/brand you can imagine.

There is no brand that is the best at them all. Having several different brands isn't an issue to me. If you have all of them at home and they are all stored near each other as they likely are, then why does having different ones matter? Get what is best or what is value, or what is on sale, etc and use them all. Only people that have a business where they carry a few tools can I see the hassle of multi brands.

We all know that they often retool some of the 20V craftsman line from the Dewalt power tools. So, what I want to know is why aren't they expanding some of the Dewalt products along with this? I guess this market for hobby tools is not as big as the others since I don't see any of the large manufactures besides Ryobi and Worx participating. I personally don't know anyone who has invested in the craftsman line. Dewalt has an 8v, and 12v line that could be benefiting from some of these specialty tools. I would kill for a Dewalt soldering iron, and a small compact die grinder like Milwaukee's. Only time will tell, I guess.

Hmmmm, it seems that these tools were made for light-duty use. It may be an option for somebody out there. However my applications are mostly yard stuff, drilling and automotive. Realistically I could see myself using the fan if I'm in a tight spot where there's so much heat inside and I'm sweating lol. I wish there was a place where I could find Craftsman cordless tools specifically, used or factory refurbished just like direct tools. Amazon is the only place if im lucky.
