Do they sell a maintenance kit that has all of this in it? Air filter, oil, fuel filter, spark plug and fuel additive specifically for the craftsman R110 30" mower? We just picked up a 2018 model yesterday and I want to go through the entire machine. Also how do I know if the steering is failing or not with the rack and pinion steering

an Oil change after 1 month? isint that a little much. i only change the oil at the end of the mowing season. once a year, normally October

Matthew Forzano They want you to do that because of the break-in. I believe the oil that comes in it is a special break in oil the gentleman that did this video is 100% absolutely correct the oil change is not going to be a thing of beauty put down plastic and old rags everywhere up against the engine block at the bottom where the drain plug is on the deck on the ground over the tire,,, it is a special break in oil and it will come out very fast and look just awful

I just formed a piece of cardboard into a oil diverter to allow it to drain past the tire. Cost nothing and only had to use a knife to cut!

There is bar bracket above the battery that helps hold it in - I think it’s held by a 13mm - but I will make video for it tomorrow-- u will need a ratchet and extension

👍Just bought this today from Lowe’s on sale and got 12 months interest free payments this is very helpful,,, i’m 5’10” and 317 pounds I was wondering is it was going to be too small for me but with the seat adjusted all the way back it’s actually pretty decent and the seat is high back,,,there’s far less vibration than my old Huskee 3800 and a little quieter to,,,I used it with the mulching cover on it and it seems to cut really good.

Caution, Lifting the mower from the front can result in oil draining into intake or exhaust valves, I recommend lifting from the rear, and use a hoist.

Someone else has made this comment, I have modified to tilting the mower 30 degrees to the side and propping the rear tire with a 25 lb dumbbell, to change the blade - as I have seen a lawnmower jack that promotes this gangsta lean- side tilt lawnmower jack

I would just use same filter as factory and not use a sleeve filter. I won't change my plug for awhile as I am on my 2nd season using my Mower which is very similar to this but a Murray version I got new for $964.

I was mowing today, 5-17-22 and I heard a snap. Upon inspection the bracket that holds the idler pulley to the frame snapped off. Belt was still good and threaded thru, no problem with the motor at all, but Im trying to figure out the part for replacement but just looking at Partswarehouse it's hard to tell what I need. The bracket has a hole in it for some kind of bolt or pin and thats where it broke right in half. Really a terrible failure for something like this....

Do you have to change the blade, oil, filter, and plug every year? I have a 29 year old huskee push mower and only changed oil maybe 3 or 4 times. Sharpened blade 1 time. Changed plug 2 or 3 times. Changed air filter maybe 3 times. She starts up every time after 3 primes. I run engine til gas runs out and store in shed all winter.

i’ve had 3 mowers in my life. 1st straight push never changed oil - charged spark plug when it was hard to start and blew out the filter with air (but changed every year) - the blade i have always keep a separate one sharp so i alternate every 2 or 3 mowes. Second mower was self propelled push - still have it - never changed oil- but it’s a difference in pulling it to start on the 1st or 2nd try as opposed to 5 or 6 pulls

I put a 8inch pipe with a turn open and off valve. I removed the battery to get it installed .

Great Question. First off make sure that your in Forward or Reverse, Then check to see that your chock is at Full Throttle. Make sure you start off in Gear 1 or 2 Using the Clutch. if that doesn't work Call the Manufacture Or the Retail store you got it from.

Make sure the safety button near the side discharge is fully depressed. It is located right behind the plastic flap.

I have to work with the gears sometimes. I get off of the mower and start over. It eventually engages. Most times the forward/reverse works as it is designed.

How do you remove the deck? I'm no mechanic nor do I know the correct names for what I'm bout to describe but I'm having problems with the blades bogging down when I hit tall grass. Really doesn't have to be all that high either. Right now the blades are soley spinning just from the blades being engaged, the "engine pulley" in the back is not spinning and is stuck and the belt is simply going around it without turning the pulley even when I turn up the throttle. So I'm guessing that's what the problem is. Kind of hard to get under there with the deck on. I hope you understand the problem I'm trying to describe? Lol

Do not lift up the front like he did, the oil will drain into the valves and can get into the engine cylinder, or into the exhaust port and muffler!

I had to unmount the deck to allow enough slack to get the old belt off. There's several connectors you undo to get the deck loose.
