I have a set like these, and have since they were new in the late 80's. These are indestructible ratchets, as mine have never failed. I've used cheater pipes, hit with hammers, and pulled with pipe wrenches. I've used the 3/8 with 1/2 adapter in places where other 1/2 ratchets had already broken. A later version of these ratchets that had a satin finish, were absolute junk, and failed miserably. To further enhance my opinion, my wife worked the Sears tool area for many years, and she too agreed they were a good line of ratchets. Especially since she was the manager who would rebuild damaged ratchets as they were brought in the store.

@@snapringchronicles3020 I have since acquired larger ratchets and use what size is needed for specific jobs...but just putting it out there how reliable these have been for me over the years. There is no other craftsman ratchet that has not failed me at one point or another..

Me too! I've had mine for over 30 years and used them in cars, 2 motorhomes and a motorcycle with no failures. However I wish they were made in the USA.

Nice, you should do a video on how you store all them ratchets!

Why not show how to remove the coil ring? The most important step to taking them apart?

The videos get to be a little long so I started to abbreviate that part. But I must have showed it like 100 times in my earlier videos though.

Have you made a video on ratchet socket adapters. You know this thumb ratchet looking things you put in a ratcheting wrench hole and turn any wrench into a ratchet. Bought some from Australia but they haven’t shown up yet.

No I haven’t done a video on one of those adopters yet. I’ve seen some vintage ones for sale but I thought the asking price was too expensive. Will continue looking for one though

@@snapringchronicles3020 I think they are neat. I ordered three different sizes for like $35 and will put them on my SK ratcheting wrenches. It will look pretty cool I think.
