watched this so i didnt have to ask for help and when u said it has no horn i was like "ok not a big deal I just needed to know how to start it" and then I got going on the machine and now i understand... it does need a horn to go beep beep

One came with a house I bought. No owner or operator manual. Decided to view the video for information on features. Mostly all good. EXCEPT information on engaging the blades. ONLY information was all of 4 seconds worth from about 8:10 to 8:14 of the video when you said the words "engage the blades" and there was a micro-second glimpse of the lever arm. Had to pause the video to confirm the blade engage/disengage picture. Got it. There were more discussions about the drink holder and the horn/the lack of horn than the blades. Yikes. No discussion whatsoever about the engagement of the blades (changing height while blades engaged or disengaged?). Safety features (?) with mower deck action over bumps, sidewalks, rocks, hidden objects in long grass? Nada, nothing, not a word.

800 hrs and not one problem with my mower other than the height cover needed fixing probably when put together at sears, no engine problems but I do all the maintenance on my unit when required which makes a difference in longevity.

My 4000 is five years old and still runs as strong as the day I got it. It is made by Husqvarna.Husqvarna makes craftsman tractors. B&S engines are good. I pull a core aeration device with 125 lbs. of 25 lb.iron plates in it as recommended by manufacturer for good ground penetration of the tines and no problem. Before that I had an 11 hp craftsman for twenty years. Upgraded.

We've had one for years and we've never had any problems with it . I've been looking on Craig's List for another one to buy as a back up in case someday we do wind up having a problem with it . The posters below saying that that mower is a piece of shit don't know what their talking about . Just try to find another mower these days with a 24 horse motor for starters .

After seeing your video, I went to my local Sears on Long Island and made my purchase to replace my 1998 Craftsman 17 hp tractor. Got a brand new unit in the box, full bagger with the hard bags not the material type, and a full 5 year in-home warranty for a total, including sales tax for $2,425.00. For that price, Sears will assemble and deliver it to my driveway and remove the old tractor, so I'm happy. It should arrive within 6 days. Thanks!

It's handy, especially when you're purchasing and picking up a used model and don't want to spend too much time looking around for basic features at a stranger's house. Preparation is something an adult does. If anyone hates on that, they simply still have a child's mentality.

love my yt 3500 not a big fan of the hydro static trans tho its a 21hp Briggs platinum the engine has a slight ticking sound tho when cold and hot any one no what it could be?

Hi can you tell me if the belt on the deck that runs the blades is an A size or an B size belt? in Australia these mowers cost $4,250.00, we are getting ripped OFF!

Keep it clean , keep fresh gas in it ,wash it once in a while and it should last a long time

How much oil does it take ? That's 1 of model Husqvarna built for craftsman . Just match 2 up sometime .

Although it says Briggs and Straton the engine is infact made by husquivarna, at the sears where i live near its sold at about $1800.00 and thats for a 46in deck, also has a 6 in turning radios which is quite impressive and lifetime warranty, cast iron front axels, it does have a 2 year manufacture defect on it however sears offers a peace of mind agreement for 3-5 years that will cover everything the manufacture wont, such as the ethanol damage

It is a piece of crap. Expect your head gasket to blow in about 5 years. My neighbor and mine both had the heads blow. They are notorious for that. Congrats.

That is only on the single cylinder the twin cylinder like this one never blow heads gaskets
