Yes! However be careful.. The Big Shot plus has a bit more pressure than the Big Shot because the rollers are bigger.. so roll very slowly and if you hear any cracking (which you shouldn't), pull your platform back out.

can this be used with the anna griffin cutting machine

Hi, you'd need to double check what the machine instructions say but it should be fine

Hi there, Can you please tell me if you have done any videos using the negative foil (after you've run it through the gopress and foil machine)?
@IAMGiftbearer5 жыл бұрын
I have a question; I used a large leafy branch foil stamp by Anna Griffin that was about 6" X 4" and the green light didn't come on even after 2 minutes and then it did not foil completely unlike my smaller sentiment which foiled perfectly. Does it literally take 3 or 4 minutes to adequately heat these larger metal foil stamps? Did I not wait long enough before rolling it through? I used exactly the same shim as I did with the other. The only other variable I can think of besides the different size foil stamp is that the cardstock was smoother than the cardstock I used for my sentiments.

Hi Jeanette. Finally I now have a new larger workroom so all of my machine are available and ready for use. I have just tried a Thank You hot foil stamp and there are small patches where the foil haven't got on the card any suggestions please. Thanks in advance. xxx Wendy P.S. I did use a shim over the whole area xx

Hi Wendy! Thanks so much for your comment and I'm so jealous of your workroom;) Try adding another shim to give it just a little bit more pressure and make sure you're rolling it through your machine very very slowly.. I'm talking snail's pace! This makes a lot of difference.. let me know how it goes! If it's still not working perhaps you need to heat up your stamp just a bit longer. Good luck! -Janette

Hi Janette, thank you I spent a lot of time yesterday on my GoPress and made a lot of sentiments with both the stamps and metal dies. I tried extra shim but it squished it the best way i found yesterday along with your snail pace is to use 300gsm card stock and a shim with a piece of ordinary card doubled. By 4 o'clock yesterday I felt like i now know my GoPress and the results were great.To all out there you NEED to go onto the CraftStash website. There are at least 13 pages of hot foil things. I went there this morning and things fell into my basket OOPPPSSSS. Luvs, Hugs and I hope you all get the same satisfaction as I did. Wendy xxxx

can we use other deco foil to use like thermoweb
@CraftStashcoukTV6 жыл бұрын
Hi there! The foil has to be the special heat activated foil. I tried it with others like thermoweb with no success:(

Hi Jeanette. Thank you for this video I have watched a little then thought I better msg you before I forgot what I wanted to ask. Sorry if you cover it in this video. Firstly thank you thank you soo much for the Craft Stash link there is soo many lovely and reasonable priced items. My question is. Is there a way to foil the sentiment straight on to the card front. I have tried but with no success its rather wonky or not in the right place. I saw some dies on Create and Craft that foil, emboss and cut in one pass. I couldn't see any on the website. Thanks again. Hugs and love Wendy xxxx

Hi Margaret! You can definitely hotfoil a sentiment right onto the cardfront.. If it's not working, you may not have enough shims or maybe you're rolling it through your diecutting machine too fast after you've heated your stamp and foil. Also, sometimes the sentiment stamp can move because it's face down and you can't see what you're doing. I found the best way around this is to make pencil marks on your cardstock as to where you want your sentiment. It might still move a bit, but it'll help you get closer to what you're aiming for.. Hotfoil stamps have no cutting edge... So Create & Craft were probably doing the same foiling process, but with a die. This way you can foil the die design and also cut at the same time...Hope that helps!

I'm almost 100% certain they were just hotfoiling with dies. I hope I'm not mistaken lol Unfortunately there are no dies to match the hot foil stamps :( That would be so much easier, right? I've made a note of it and will forward it to product development. Have a wonderful day Margaret and thanks for shopping with us:)

Margaret, Couture Creations (who make the Go Press & Foil) now have cut and emboss dies. I'm pretty sure that's what you would have seen. I just bought a stack at the weekend, and they are fabulous! I hope this helps.

I would like to add: the foil is activated through heat AND pressure. I tried the Go Press foil in my Minc but with no heat, the process failed ( I didn't know this initially).

Is there a go press and foil machine 2?

Hi Darlene! Not yet, but we've heard whispers a 2 is in the works:)

Seriously.. why would they do that I hate when you buy a machine and then later they come out with a better develop machine so that all the people that bought the first machine are screwed.
@CherylWrightAuthor6 жыл бұрын
Actually, this machine is #2. The first one had a lot of issues, and they had to fix them.
@trevanji6 жыл бұрын
Sorry, that should be: no 'pressure' in my Minc, even though I thought there was some as it rolled through the machine. There was certainly heat.

As the first craft supplier I shopped with, I had high hopes that your channel would be equally inspiring. After watching several videos, the channel is excruciatingly tedious, very very waffly and what little factual information I found is confusing and hard to really understand. Sorry !
