Great Video definitely got me started. HOWEVER OOPS can happen. I wanted to make note books and after making a few lovely ones with paper and several spellbinder glimmer dies I cut out some faux leathers used for crafting to make covers for mini note books. Choose the stars that scatter across the page glimmer die. On one it barely would adhere the glitter to it and you could not see the actual stars more like dots. So I then tried it on a darker super smooth faux leather thinking one with little to no texture would be a lot better. That one the green melted onto the foil more than the foil onto the glitter and in masses so not safe to heat that faux leather. I also think that I'm getting to big an impression into the foiled piece yet it looks great on the paper. Also I tried less pressure as in no shim or one thin shim and it wouldn't transfer the foil well. So since it looks great on most papers I've used so far I will stay with paper and look for other options to foil my faux leather collection. I have some real leather I might try too but a little skeptical after the vinyl problems. In part that was dues to one of the vinyls textured surface too. I keep thinking of the rich embossed leather books and looking for similar. I do have WeRMemories hand held pen they make 3 different ones with slightly different points to them. That uses this type of foil and they show people working on faux leather. But I have arthritis and it effects my writing skills. So it's still a technique I'll be giving a try. Or one last chance so to speak. If I could run the faux vinyls through the laser printer I'm sure that might work great too. Also I can cut two different other foil products out one adheres via self adhesive and the other via heat and ironing. Again there are videos doing so on both faux leathers and real leather so I haven't given up completely. Just the glimmer dies with the GoPress is not working. But oh my gosh when it works with my paper think medium mint to light teal shade and with a slight sheen to it with Silver so pretty. I used Spellbinders glimmer alphabets two different ones to write the ladies 4 letter name on the front cover. And one on darker rich almost velvet like feel to the paper with gold foil. Then on the back of the gold foiled card I used her birth sign again a Spellbinders glimmer die and on the other lighter green with silver foil I used one of the three celestial glimmer dies that said of all the stars in the sky she shown the brightest I believe. Both were hits with my friend. I'm using proclick binders so you can refill the notebooks when empty. Showed her how to open with scissors and then close. I will use other binding options for different projects too and different sizes of books. Proclick has very limited colors and sizes so again it depends on the project. I have at least 4 different binding machines that allow me to have lots of options and think outside the box Stay safe everyone. And thank you for your great easy to follow Video. Precious share.

I've had this machine since 2018 but rarely used :-(. It's funny though because once I saw other machine manufacturers advertise similar, I became interested once again :-). So saying, I loved seeing the embossing folder and foil effect because I am not sure I would have been brave enough to have used plastic in that heated area...but of course you 'dispersed' the heat a little (?) via the metal shim?? Or at least is that how that worked? This ultimately means less fancy paper purchases which is a win for me. I love "bling" in all its guises but not its price, so being able to create my own, in my terms and patterns pleases me so much. The only other machine I would like is the Cricut Ink which I saw on FB/KZbin which makes words only. A tiny machine akin in size to a small die cut machine. I can't find it now but it looked brilliant for words or sentences that are unique to my vocabulary. Thank you for this lovely video :-).
