thats a real shame... im not sure why people are running so scared without getting all the info first... even if it was going to affect us, you would have had until JAN 1st... so there was no reason to delete your videos.... all that work and you cant get it back. And all you had to do is put things on unlisted or private and it would have been just as safe. I understand being scared but next time, try not to react to things so immediately and allow some time for things to get straightened out so you dont clip off your nose to spite your face, as the saying goes lol.

no it wont likely affect us in the craft community however, you should still be concerned about it because if the ftc really goes through with all this... even if it doesnt affect our channel it will likely have a huge impact on youtube itself and we might lose everything, including youtube.... so its important we still take it serious.... for the sake of everyone on youtube.

i think thats a hard one to determine... i think it will depend on some factors... who is your prime audience? Kids under 13? If so, it may likely be put in the "for kids" catagory. I feel bad for those who are gamers and family channels... its gonna be so rough if they get hit.

I don‘t think it‘s that easy. Because all in the grey zone would say“ oh we don“t make videos for kids“. We still have this „ attractive to children“.

thats the point... the people who are considered "General Audience" are folks who have videos that are fine for kids AND adults to watch... and they typically have a mix where kids are not watching any more than the adults. If kids made up 75% or more of the audience of that channel than yeah, that would be considered For kids. People can "say" whatever they want, but if their channel reflects that more kids are watching than adults, then the FTC will be sure to shut you down unless you are choosing the correct option for your channel.

@@PinkPoodleCrafts but the statistic can´t be right. I don´t have any datas in my statistic for example. But all kids under 13 watch youtube with the accounts of their parents, siblings etc. So of course nobody has a statistic kids under 13. right?

Yea but what about kid appealing? Stickers and washi and crafting in general is appealing to kids and not marked corrcorrectly will be fined? It's scary... my channel is crafting and not geared towards children but Coppas too 10 arts and crafts was loke # 3

Thank you Stacy for being a calming rational voice in the crowd. I personally did not see how they would ever be able to go after crafters. Attorneys would be jumping to take the case all the way to the Supreme Court. Wish everyone had seen your Video sooner, maybe some channels would have stopped before deleting their channel.
