I had thought you lived in West Palm, but I heard you mention something about the beach here in Vero. I live in The Fort, but only about a hundred yards from the Vero line so I do most of my shopping in Vero like out on Hwy 60 by 58th. I was so surprised to hear you big up Vero Beach, then. I’m really not sure why the DIY community grabbed onto spackle to fill all these holes in our WOOD projects. By now we use enough wooden ornaments from dollar tree that it could warrant grabbing some WOOD FILLER, which is made for filling wood . I actually find it a little more forgiving then LIGHTWEIGHT (bc that’s what’s on the shelves in the small containers) spackle!! Wood filler def sands down better…. Specially if you’re using wood sandpaper to sand spackle. Bc the grit you’re using is prob too rough for the lightweight spackle. Always make sure it’s layered ABOVE the surface level , then sand BACK down level or it will always be concave a bit.
