I love mixing photos of varied sizes. I think it gives you a lot of flexibility on a layout as well as being interesting.

Such a pretty layout! I always enjoy your videos and all the tips you share. I have a tip for inking those hard to reach spaces of letters that someone shared with me. Try using an eye shadow makeup applicator as it is smaller and easy to apply the ink. But, I did like your idea of using a marker as well!

Marietta that is a great tip! I will have to pick some up next time I am at the store. That way you could be sure to have matching ink colors using the same ink pad. Brilliant.

Won't sticking g the flip flap to the outside of the page protector leave the adhesive outline over the picture below it? Love the embellishments!

That is a great question. I suppose it does but not enough to where I notice it.

Erin, how do you decide how to colour your stamped images... meaning, how do you decide whether to use markers, water colour, ink pads....? Also, is there a list we can get on so we can get notified by email when the Design Team is opening up again? I keep missing the deadline!

Hello Audrey, I like to switch things up with coloring. Watercolor painting with the ink pads gives a soft look that I thought would go nicely with this layout. I typically just decide in the moment. I know that isn’t helpful but it’s really just my mood. I’m sad you missed the sign up. We are working on our email list set up for the CDT and will have that soon. I will keep you posted.

How do you use flip flaps with page protectors?

Hi Nettie, there are a few different ways to use Flip Flaps. Some opt to cut a slit in their page protector. They adhere the Flip Flap directly to their layout and feed it through the cut to sit outside of the page protector. I simply adhere them directly to the outside. It is much easier and I have never had one come off. They are the perfect solution when you have too many photos or didn't leave room for the journaling.

What type of craft glue do you use?

Hello Maureen, I use several types of glue. I like the Tombow glue as well as the Bearly Art glue. The second option has a very fine tip perfect for tiny pieces.

Hello, you can view the catalog online (I prefer the PDF version) and CTMH will give you one free with your order which is so nice. It is a great idea book so I always hang on to a copy. The core won’t be visable online until August first but they are adding them to orders already.
