I love these Post-It note holders. I'm going to make some. I'm doing my first craft fair ever on December 8th so I'm frantically looking for quick and easy ideas. Here's a suggestion when using your paper trimmer. Sink your blade before you try cutting anything. Go up your paper and inch or more then press your blade down into your paper then slide the knife up or down and cut your paper. This will keep you from having those oh no's like you did with your first cut apart. I learned that from watching Maymaydit it.com Take Care!
@teresae73226 жыл бұрын
Deanna.. get yourself some painters tape or just the sticky part of one of the postit notes, (something that can be easily replaced for every job) cut some little arrow, place them at the top of your score board where all your folds need to be made and you will zip right along without having to check your paper for every mark

These are so cute as is all of your stuff. May I make a suggestion for cutting small stuff. If you sink your cutting blade in the middle of the small item and cut both directions, you will not tear or jagger the edges of it.Thans for your awesome videos

I just thought about an idea when you said your sister sews. Maybe she can make little draw string bags out of different fabrics such as the fleece for your little hand warmers. That way you can still make the cotton fabric packs and insert them into the little bag to act as insulators. Hope it doesn't sound too labor intensive...💕

Love these. I make these, they are my faves b/c they make a cute and functional display. I figured out the dimensions to make these using 8.5 x 11 card stock b/c I don't have a lot 12 x 12 card stock. Also, sometimes I make a card, top fold, score the front in half, then attach the decorative piece to the bottom half, and add a post-it pad to the inside, which also acts as the stopper so the front will stand up. It makes a cute birthday card and gift in one. Nice when you want to give someone a little something on their birthday.
@CraftyCraftsByDeanna6 жыл бұрын

@angelaperkins6626 жыл бұрын
Dinahsoar, would you share the dimensions using 8.5x 11 card stock? Thanks in advance!
@dinahsoar69826 жыл бұрын
Hi. These are the measurements I use: Begin with card stock 3.5" x 11". Score at: 3 1/2, 3 7/8, 5 1/2 and 7 3/8. This allows for 3/8 thickness for the post-its. I use the ones from Dollar Tree that are not as thick as the name brand which are 1/2 an inch thick. You can always split the 1/2" ones in half.
@angelaperkins6626 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Dinashsoar !! Appreciate the info!
@dinahsoar69826 жыл бұрын
You are welcome. A nice alternative is to make it like the top fold tent easel card, which is 4.25 x 11. Then you score the front at half, which is 2.75. Fold the front like it is a tent, and on the bottom half of the front attach your matt and/ or embellishments, keeping the top part of the front free so it can move. Inside, adhere the post-it pad, positioning it so it works like a stop for the easel. I do this when I want to give a birthday card with a small gift. You use a little more card stock but it is also looks more substantial, something to consider if you are selling it at a craft fair. Either way, both are really cute open or closed, on a desk.
