How to add lights to your garlands or greenery

Wouldn't it be quicker to "fold" the lights in half to find the center same with the garland? That way you have the same amount of lights on each half of the garland. Just a thought. Beautiful garland

Thanks a bunch for your comment. ❤️ Finding the middle of the lights is an awesome idea. Thanks for that tip. I always find that never works for me bending and winding the lights through the garland but I’m sure your idea would work amazing for most.

Thank you and yes if that works for you. There are no rules. I find that the branches have there own idea and the lights have to fit into it. I let the garland kind of dictate where the lights will go. Hope this make sense. I always use the squint test at the end. If you squint once the lights are on you will see where lights need to go or moved. Trust me....it works.

Love, love, love this video! I bought a 50’ garland for my front entry. Also bought outdoor, warm LED lights from “Christmas Designers” so high quality, one piece lights. My question is, do you take the lights off your garland every year? I was thinking of adding the lights to my 50’ garland and storing them with the lights on them. If so, would you recommend any ideas when doing this? For example, I was thinking of adding small, black zip ties periodically down the garland to hold the lights to the center of the garland. This way when I unpack them next year I just need to tweak any light spacing issues. Thanks in advance!!!

Thank you for your question. Enjoy that new garland! I always take my lights off, store away separate as seen it my other video. I also work the garland back to the original way it was packaged. It keeps everything in amazing shape year after year and will last. I never leave anything on any of my garlands or trees. I hope this helps. I try and keep all the original packaging as well to store away year after year. 💕

I have some garland that is prelit with cool lights and I prefer warm. Is there any way to restring them with warm lights?

You can cut them off if they really bother you but try adding warm lights in addition to the cool lights. Gives the garland a great look. Don’t be afraid to add lots of lights too. Get those lights deep into the garland, right to the main branch.

Beautiful. Where did you get the artificial garland? I have real pine and it’s to much to care for and it’s gonna die I would love to get plenty of garland that’s fake.

I always watch for the after Christmas deals. One garland is just plain greenery and the other has mixed greens and pinecones. I always use plain greenery on the bottom as a foundation. Hope this helps! Thank you for your comment ❤️

Do you have any tips on how to make small branches made of plastic to stick out/up so it doesn't all lay flat. Ive tried green wire but it can still be seen . Thank you

I always find if I add another “branch” or more greenery to it..it helps.
