OMG thank you so much for this video, I just got my addi and I could not for the life of me do this. I have been knitting and crocheting for over 20 years lol. and was already to send this machine back. I make 100 beanies a year for homeless for charity and thought ok lets try this. But with this video I did it...Thank you

I think this is an excellent tutorial, thank you for sharing it! The instructions were easy to understand. I especially like the way you started the hat. I have watched several videos demonstrating how to make a hat and yours by far is the easiest to understand. Now I am going to make several hats! Thanks again.
@sassegranny47004 жыл бұрын
This is such a good presentation. I'm so glad I can see the size of the finished hat. This is too small for such a big 46 peg loom. This keeps me from wanting this so expensive a knitter. I bought the knitting machine from Michaels and the same thing. All it will do is a baby hat. Waste of $$ but I didn't return in time. So I'm stuck unless I use it as a flat panel. I use heavy yarns. Thank you for your time in presenting.

Great video for a 1st time addi addict, lol. Btw, I also still like loom knitting and used a loom knitting hook to pull the brim loops over the needles to make the brim and worked fantastic. I was learning on my daughters Addi Express King size machine so now I will purchase my own. Thanks for the video and will look for more from you too.

hello big big thanks !! this tips is perfect and simple : good for hat but too, socks, etc, very clear, video good quality
@florencecox2022 Жыл бұрын
Just a tip you might like. Set up on waste yarn for 7/8 rows. Then use **contrast crochet cotton** for one row only !!!! Knit your rib and after pick up stage and knit on a few rows ( or when you finish) pull out the crochet cotton one row used. Then you can use the waste yarn a few more times until you see it ravel a bit?? Have the crochet cotton a nice length and it can be used many times. Note == I like to double the end of the wool and use it to pick up the stitches, it's much stronger and might not break when you pull it through !!! This next tip would work when you use waste yarn and pick up after you have a few hats on the go !!! I knit loads of hats for the Christmas box appeal for children . Another tip if I may. I would always leave a waste yarn 7/8 rows and the cotton row for next hat( hats) would do 6/8 hats and sit back and finish them off. 80yr old Crafty ❤

I have the small Addi. Love that little machine, however, the counter continues to present a problem. I sent it back to the company and they replaced the machine, however, the 2nd machine's counter continues not to give an accurate count. I still have to measure my Addi knitted items. What I love about the Addi is that it does not drop stitches like the Innovations Knitting Machine does.

Since your counter doubles and you've gotten 75 rows before you do the brim does that mean you would normally need like 35-40 for a regular counter? How long inch wise is the brim and hat total?

I am a new circular machine knitter and watched this to learn to make brims. Thanks your video is easy to follow. I am having problems however in that on both my attempts, the brim turned out fine but it drops stitches around the third row after the brim or double up is attached. On both tries the dropped stitches happened on the same spots. Any ideas?

@MSlattery5136 жыл бұрын
Heather Watson Between the waste yarn and the main yarn, knit 1 row with a thin, smooth yarn, like cotton or rayon, or dental floss. After the hat is finished, pull on one end of the thin yarn. The waste yarn will pull away from the hat and can be reused.

I can't seem to get my pieces right. I usually hand knit hats and sell them with size 7 needles (US) with Red Heart acrylic yarn. But when I use this machine, the space between the stitches is huuuuuge. I'm not dropping stitches, yet my product has enough stretch and is so thin that you can see hair when wearing a hat made from the machine. What do I do?

This machine is not cheap so is it worth the price ? I want one but I'm afraid if it breaks the company wont back their product . WHAT DO YOU THINK ?
@naomidiaz52726 жыл бұрын
The machine, unlike the cheaper versions, is modular. There are screws right at the top. I just got mine on Amazon for $169 (less than list price) USD. It's sturdy, it's 6 hooks bigger than the pink amazon equivalent , and I'm sure because of the quality I will use up my extra yarn and get it out as charity projects. My 15 dollar little one broke in 3 weeks. If you want to do this for many things, for making tons of hats for craft shows, for tons of presents, cool projects, and for charity, this thing is the best. If you think you'd flake out and not use it despite the quality, I would recommend the not great but good 40 needle amazon version... but the 46 needle is good enough for my head and 40 needle would be too tight, especially double sided or with a brim.
@naomidiaz52726 жыл бұрын
Modular means it comes with extra parts, german engineering, and an Amazon.com return-ability... but no warentee is expressed or implied
