Hi Tuteate. I love your work that you do on the loom! I love this hat so pretty ! Just in time for the holidays, I will make and give as gifts. Merry Christmas and God bless
@NorthoftheMoon4 жыл бұрын
the way you cast on is by far the easiest way to do it! instead of e-wrapping all the way around then doing it again, just doing 2 wraps on each peg takes care of it! Love it Thank you!!

I love this pattern. I first was going to do it but then did a much more simplier one because I was loom knitting for the first time and decided that I needed to stick to only knit and not switch back and forth between knit and purl and just get use to knitting first. I am going to make a friend a hat and want it to have a pattern now. So here I go now that I know how to loom knit now.😊

@Tuteate Thank you for getting me into Loom Knitting. I have quite a bad time with Anxiety/Panic attacks. Your videos are fantastically easy to follow and you help keep me calm and focused. I’m making this hat for my brother who will be amazed at the zig-zag pattern even though he just wants me to make it with black yarn. Thank you again, I wish I could get a t-shirt with your logo on it. I love Orange. You have my love and admiration! And to any guys out there, you should get into this, loom knitting really is fun and relaxing and not just for Ladies and Girls. 🧶🧡🧡🧡

Thanks for the video. I’ll be trying this soon. By the way, the knot you used to connect two lengths of yarn is called the square knot, or less commonly, the reef knot. As a Boy Scout and climbing and rappelling instructor who happens to enjoy making beanies, I recommend using the sheet bend to connect two lengths of yarn. It is stronger than the square knot and can be used to connect two different sizes together as well, if desired. Thanks again!

Hi Paula! Yes, you can use the 36-peg loom for teenagers and the 31 peg loom for children, for example. Here you will find the written instructions of the zigzag pattern and suggestions on how to adapt the pattern to other looms: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easy-zigzag-hat Here you will find a chart, from GoodKnitKisses, showing the suggested hat heights: i1.wp.com/www.goodknitkisses.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Hat-Chart.jpg

Can this be done on a 36 peg loom?
@Tuteate6 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, on a 36-peg loom you can work repeating "Knit 3 - Purl 2" for 10 rounds in one direction and "Purl 2 - Knit 3" for 10 rounds in the opposite direction. You can find this project's written pattern, including all the written instructions and useful extra information, available in English and Spanish here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easy-zigzag-hat

So, I am a pass time crocheter, I love to crochet to relax and not really count. The loom is good for that. But with this pattern we count every 8 rows then switch. Could you do a short and show us how to count these rows. I know it seems so simple to just see the stitches but I'm not sure I'm counting them correctly, seeing as some of the stitches over lap in a criss-cross. Also, does the first row after the brim join,, the first knit 2 purl 2 row, does that count as the row 1, in the 1-8. Or you start counting after that. I've lost it in the brim . Lol. Thanks. So far I loving learning all these new ways to use the loom!!
