Was fortunate enough to see Craig back in the early 90's (or maybe it was late 80's) at an outdoor event in Minneapolis when he was just starting his solo career. It was an amazing show. Had never seen the hammer down technique used on an acoustic guitar like that.

Have you ever listen to a song just for the solo? Like, listening to Hotel California just for the ending, when the guitars finally get to the best part. Craig is like a continues solo. He comes on vigorously with a taste of what is to come. He next sets the melody to familiarise the listeners. Then Craig cuts loose Genius.

Some Great "Smooth" Guitar... Love that E String!!! Almost like being there???

He was laid up in a hospital with the use of one finger after a bad car wreck as a youngster and did a song called E lizabeth named for his nurse. ALL ON THE HIGH E string alone. He played it in the Acoustic Highway tour. Wow I never heard him do a Led Zep riff! Imagine that played on an old Les Paul rescued from a Germany riot caused by a show cancellation. Dammit Grace!

Can someone please tell me what beat this is? Is this Samba?
@MARLINWORLD3 жыл бұрын
Well....the Samba music genre (later evolving into a style of dancing) "originated" in Portuguese-Brazilian communities of Rio de Janeiro in the early 1900's. In addition, Rio also happens to be the home of (you guessed it) "Carnival". Over time the rhythmic beats & instrumental tunes of "Samba" were stylized to be more in sync with dance moves. "Bom dai!"

@@MARLINWORLD what is this a bot? The guy wanted to know what beat it is? Not too hard to know if you are a musician.

I just find this music boring. Music at the dental office. Even his starship work was chiche except for one or two interesting pieces.
