Beautiful. I love the technical precision and elegance of the British Judoka. Would love to see this nage waza used by Mr Fallon in competition, as well.

What if you were to drop down and slide your rear leg between your opponent's legs and simply roll him over your dominant shoulder; a sort of "kneeling ippon seoi nage."

Is there a conspiracy in British judo to mispronounce names of techniques? It's not difficult to say seoi otoshi: say-yo-we-yo-tosh-she. (All English words!)

Different accents pronounce words differently

The British need to learn how to pronounce the Japanese names of the techniques! It's disgraceful to the art to butcher the names the way they do. It's the same problem in Karate. How do the Brits get high rank when they can't even come close to pronouncing the names of the techniques properly?
@reigninblood1233 жыл бұрын
Because rank should be based on technical ability and not language proficiency unless it’s the language itself we are studying
@richlee5092 жыл бұрын
@@reigninblood123 spot on. Japanese is probably not the easiest thing to learn
