Jay Leno isn't a great talkshowhost, but he is a great storyteller. He is a comedian that need to tell his own material instead of being funny in a conversation. Craig has both.

craig was on jay last year so he's repaying the visit to the show. Craig was also on conan last year so it would be nice if conan came on the show too sometime

Leno is from Boston .... another reason that he's the best. Also he does a nightly mostly-topical standup monologue Monday though Friday, and does it better than anyone else. Daily topical material isn't easy. And they say his club routine is great and with edge.

I love how people are pretending Jay "took" the Tonight show, when the only reason he lost it in the first place was that his contract didn't get renewed. NBC made the decisions, yeah it wasn't the most gracious thing to do but still...let's not pretend that without Leno it wouldn't have happened the same exact way.

Jay's a guy who was a highly respected stand up that many of today's top guys revere. He made a decision to make a lot of money with his talk show by pandering to the lowest common denominator and being inoffensive to maximize his earning potential. I don't hate him for it, but I don't have any respect for him either. I think he made a conscious decision to stop being funny and has done very well financially for it.

I heard he still does Lewinsky jokes in his theatre shows, yikes! He's a Boston guy which is cute - but Louis CK, Steven Wright have just done a lot more. Leno has been coasting since 1993 - look at his appearances on Letterman vs what he does for his octogenarian audience, yikes.
