Thanks for putting me here, very helpful. Btw, the commentary of Gordon vs Gaudio and Yuri was amazing because they acknowledge that world champions found themselves in situations they didn’t understand how to handle. If I remember right Gordon got to 411 because Gaudio tried to kneecut a butterfly half guard which you can’t really do. Also body lock passes which Gordon and Nicky have made more popular have been something I’ve had success using against guys I previously could not pass. I just use my right leg to sprawl and climb my left over and pass from double unders top half guard. I know there’s tons of body locks as well but that single way has been what I’ve had recent success with.

Great video, love that you're making a good effort to study tape and learn yourself, it's super motivating, and the analysis is great. Just a quick comment though, I think it's Sankaku not Senkaku :D

Do you believe that your studying of tape has accelerated your progress in BJJ? If so how exactly?

Yeah definitely. Especially watching Gordon he uses a lot of stuff he talks about in instructionals but you get to see how it actually looks in competition and the setups/reactions the moves get. It also helps to narrow down what to study in an instructional. Study the stuff he does most in competition
