Tired of excuses. I always knew the "come from behind" attitude would bite us. You cant play 3 ordinary quarters and hope that training for a 4th quarter come back will win the game. Moore's "slump" is not his issue, he is a great player and brilliant Backman....but we're all forgetting what a massive loss Murhpy is. Get Frampton to study how Murphy covered ground and backed Moore up. Due to our lack of structure, the ball is getting to the defensive 50 too easily... hence our back line is getting overworked. Why does it always look like we're under pressure when we have the ball...yet opposition always moves the ball so freely? I'm certainly no expert, but Craig....we need a new game plan. One that keeps pressure on, and allows our great players to do what they do best...play our great game!

We’re not playing well, but give credit, they are trying, it showed that in the last Quarter. We’ve had to many injuries to vital players. This season is what it is. We miss Murphy on and off the ground. Go pies.

Brand new American fan here. I knew nothing about the magpies until I watched the comeback win against Carlton and I absolutely fell in love with this team. Here in America I am a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan ( Sav Rocca!). I knew nothing about last year‘s championship. I just fell in love with the squad and it’s amazing how football stuff happens whether it’s Australian or American. this is what happens when the team has lots of injuries. Also, is it me or is Bobby Hill playing really hurt?

Season over boys. From having a reported stunning pre season , the season has really fizzled out. Baring the port adelaide game the team hasnt really gelled all year. The injuries have payed a heavy toll but so many players are under performing as well.

Josh Daicos is a cat. He'd rather turn the ball over than feel body contact. He got embarrassed by Harry Jones, the only reason he's got a good rep is because of his brother. Don't get me wrong, last year he played well but he's been nowhere near it this season.

Look through the player stats and you can tell that there's players relying on Nick Daicos to carry them. DeGoey is an example, he has no intetest in contested ball. Sorry 2 clearances from someone who is supposed to be a powerhouse midfielder. Even a player closing in on 400 games had double the clearances DeGoey did. When the game was to be won he was seen slowing down hoping he'd get a cheap freekick rather than contesting the ball, absolute rot. Quainor the player who couldn't be beaten one on one has dropped off the face of the earth, just look at last nights states. Defence is abysmal. I watched Moore last night, who has been coping alot recently. He put in an immence effort trying to cover defenders who wanted to do anything but defend. Frampton tries but he's not Murphy who was the workhorse down back. Moving Howe to the forward line, doesn't help an already struggling defence. He can play in attack, he kicked 2 goals last night, great. But does anyone doubt that he would have saved more than that in defence. The bottom 6 aren't world beaters nor should they be expected to be, as most are fill in players because of injury. Its those players from around 5-10 who need to look at their efforts. Its amazes me that the Pies have remained competitive through the injury crisis, and that's testement to the system Fly has created. One that relies on maximum pressure, but doesn't work when a core group of players are putting jn 50%, happy in the knowledge that they won a Premiership, and thinks the jobs done.

@@imalwaysright Unfortunately Jordy hasn't been known for consistently playing at his best. When he's on he's very good, when he's not he's hardly sighted. As for Markov he's not on his own. The backline has been unsettled and under performing. Losing Murphy was a bigger loss than a lot of people would have thought. I thought he was the key to the teams defence. He was a workhorse who just went 100% zll the time. It allowed the more attack minded defenders to play their game. There just isn't a replacement on the list, and those players who relied on his commitment have continued play as if he was still there. They need to move on with who they have, get a settled backline and tighten up their defence. Oh and you can't take someone as important as Howe away to plug a hole up forward.

I Love Craig McRae's attitude. This team is set up perfectly for the run home. Make no mistake, Collingwood is a club that thrives on the energy of adversity and tension. It's in the DNA and Fabric of the Club and is a key ingredient of the recipe of its success. Collingwood doesn't like things easy and have a history of making history and this year is no exception. Side by Side and Back to Back 🏆🏆 we're on Track to make it 17. Mark it down, because, it will be seen. And it will be just as Epic as the Last, another Blast! No matter who plays, no part is greater than the sum of the Machine and this is a 'Machine' based Team as was the Team under Jock McHale which WON 4 in a row... History in the Making before our very eyes.

It's not as bad, as people r making it out to be.. Not making excuses, but not having our forward line in most of the season doesn't help... Cameron needs a rest, Krueger is doing to roles.. shows how important Cox is to our side.. We've been in most of the games we've lost, haven't been able to get over the line due to the unsettled balance of our side.. Coaches have to fill in holes , most of the weeks.. Murphy is a huge loss also, very underrated player. He played on talls, smalls and always was the 3rd man in .. We just need the big fellas back in asap.. Don't worry the pies will make the 8, once there and we get a few back defently have a strong chance of making the grand final again.. Teams above us, simply have had far less injuries.. they will get them.. now there talking up Freo, look what we done over there. Should of won that game.. Take a deep breathe, stop panicking our best is better than most. Come business end of the season, we'll be at our peak.. Remember everyone else had a head start over us, with there rest and recovery.. This enabled most sides to get extra fitness into them.. your premiers by accident, go pies..

The score flattered the pies, the bombers did not take their chances in front of goal. Fly is wrong, personnel is everything, they compete on the field. Any weaknesses will be exposed. Focus must be on the newer players who have been given a great opportunity to establish their AFL careers. Harrison is the only new player taking his opportunity. You can see him developing with experience. Unfortunately others are struggling to have impact. I think luck will run out for Frampton & Markov. Finlay Macrae, Dean & Sullivan just don't look like AFL athletes. They seem to lack the energy and mobility you see across the competition. They look lifeless at times. Too much dependence is placed on the same few players, making them predictable to play against. The older established players cannot contribute much more going forward. With significant number of retirements pending this is a worry. 2023 will become a distant memory very quick.

Coaching staff are in denial this season and rewarding players for bad performances. Fancy letting your players to spend a few days on the gold coast soaking in the sun after their poor showing last week and it showed coming into this game. The players have already booked september holidays.
