I was a teenager in the 80s when I first heard this song. I would make tapes simply recording from the radio. I'm a native washingtonian born and bred so anybody who knows DC knew about MELVIN'S MELODIES and the QUIET STORM. One night I was recording a song and I heard this afterwards; I listened to it and kept it on the tape because it sounded beautiful. And it sounds just as beautiful today. This song is the epitome of timeless

I haven't heard this in 25 years. KBLX 102.9 I used to think this was Phyllis Hyman until now. Thanks for posting.

It took me over twelve years to find this song. I first heard it on KPRS 103.3 on Wayback Wednesday - the Quiet Storm. The female vocalist, by the way, is Denise Stewart.
