My biggest regret is selling my old 91 3000GT VR4 as i wanted to buy a home. If i`d kept it for one more year i would be done with downpayments and could keep the car while i bought a home.

For me it was selling my 1990 Celica. It was a big source od joy in my life aswell as to people around which was fun too. So many people smiling when they saw the pop up headlights often for a first time, striking up conversations. Everyone on my class in college wanted a ride when i bought her. And the seats were the most comfortable i have ever sat in in any car to date with velour and an actual head/neckrest if set to lowest position.

The SMG in the E46 M3's still fascinates me. The fact that BMW took a regular manual gearbox with a single clutch and created an automatically actuating fork is kind of awesome. I'd always take the manual, but that SMG was fascinating.

I don't regret selling vehicles so much as I regret not buying a couple. Since 2019 these cars have skyrocketed in value. Like the $5000 Ford lightning I passed on now worth dramatically more.

You selling that car allowed me to see multiple times at columbia/Irmo south carolina car meets probably about 15 to 20 years ago and it that car still looks good till this day. It was an awesome car then and still is. So thanks for the build.

Thanks Craig... I can emphasize... I also regret getting rid of my E46 M3, I kept mine mostly stock except for exhaust. When I sold mine, I wrapped up the stock exhaust and tossed it in the boot. It was pearl white with full red leather interior. Mine however was not manual. Back in college I was in need for extra income, hence I sold it, also made money off it. I have always wanted a late 90's 911 but it always out of my budget, so I settled to buy a 96 BMW Z3 Roadster. The Z3 restored my driving record. I got my life back in order while enjoying a "bim." Today my Z3 Roadster just hit 75k miles. Honestly, the car has treated me very well. Do I miss my E46 M3?! YES! Everyday I miss it, but at the same time, I needed to do what I had to, in order to keep moving forward. Again, thanks for sharing your story with us Craig. 🤙

The car I regret selling is my 94 Subaru SVX. It was fast enough, handled well, and comfortable on road trips. My only complaint is that it was never made with a manual transmission. I owned the Chevy badged version of the I-mark, the Spectrum. It had a 5spd, and it proved the adage that it's more fun to drive a slow fast, than it is to drive a fast car slow. Aside from the metal on the firewall tearing and the clutch cable pulling through the firewall, it ran great. My friends called it the Rectum.

TL:DR I'm going to have it for as long as I can.

@@YOEL_44 You were fortunate to have had the opportunity to research/test them first. As a teen, my first job was in the automotive business. I had so many adult customers (men) tell me they regretted selling their first car so I made sure to keep mine. It’s inoperable and has been in storage for years, but at least I still have it. I’m hoping to get it back on the road in 2025.

I posted in ur short as well lol. More details there. What I didn't say there is that the car I have enjoyed owning, driving and working on the most is my 1986 300zx. It's slow and not a turbo, but it's all I've really ever wanted from a car. What's best is that I still have it lol. I have plans for it going forward but not really to make crazy power. I want it to look fast while standing still and sound good when in motion, but I'm building a period correct [looking] stereo system with a Pioneer deck from the Y2K, Polk-Momo door speakers and ill figure out subs/box/amps etc. I won't be dummy tho, this car stays with me. I will not sell. Plus it only costs me 2 dollars and 30 cents per month to insure it haha

Man, one of my biggest regrets would be my 1996 Nissan 240sx with a Kouki conversion. OEM METAL which is the best part. Even though the car was neglected for a good year, I restored it to its glory. One of the cleanest straight body 240sx's ever. No rust or anything with 120k miles on the dash.

I look back at that era and ask myself, why did we want so many screens in our cars back then? I've never sold a car because I own them until they're done but I miss my '99 Tracker. 2 door 5 speed I learned stick on. An uninsured driver took a right turn into me from the left lane while I was passing in the rain and I slid down the side of him and into a field. Insurance company totalled it out. It had been through an engine swap and everything (water pump went out) and I can't find another one

Awesome model Craig. Im hoping in the near future they will do a Supra. The two cars i miss the most are my 1995 Corolla and my 2000 Celica. The Corolla got wrecked whilst my grandmother was driving it. Unfortunately she didn't survive the accident. The Celica I bought afterwards and ironically it was produced the day of my grandmother's birthday (end of March) the year I graduated. I had planned to build the car up in memory of her but it never came to be with just trying to pay bills etc. So wish i could go back in time to the era these cars came from.😢
