Looks like fun! I think I'd be beside myself after buying a bike like yours just to find out it burns oil! I'm sure it rides nice though

Nice video, good to see you're rehabbing that shoulder and getting back out on the road! Looking forward to more.

weather for this bank holiday weekend is looking good so i will be heading for the Scottish Highlands for a 4 day 1100 9 mile round trip ( about 750 miles with be on the twisties :) _ . biggest problem , is my Royal Star venture is on the jack, with its wheels off after having new tyres fitted, so busy day tomorrow and off on the road Friday morning. I will never ever camp by a river again, especially after having a few drinks , the sound of running water has you up 2 or 3 times for the toilet

Wow surprised to see Cathy’s car is a right hand drive (UK) model. This must make it that bit more difficult driving there

Indeed...

Was that a RH drive car I'm seeing? Sounds like a story, unless you moved to the UK?

No, we were using the phone, so everything is backwards.

What kind of bike is that in the back yard?

1981 KZ440. It is like my first bike...but now it is yard art.

I still laugh at both the oil level check and oil drain processes on the K1600. It is almost like BMW had a contest to see which engineer could devise the absolutely stupidest and most complicated way to check oil level or to get the old oil out at a change. Some engineer there succeeded in spades. I thought my LT was bad compared to my Voyager, but the K1600 is at least three times dumber than the LT.

Lol...yes, it is kind of silly, but what you going to do...?

@@LivingOffTheSlab I just ignored it. It is sad though that my days of traveling internationally are over as I have no intention of taking the vaccine for something as low risk as covid, just as I have never taken a flu shot. The reward/risk ratio just doesn’t meet my threshold. I have to laugh though at people who talk about how dangerous covid is and then hop on their motorcycle and take a ride. Talk about not understanding risk.

Those masks are hilarious. I haven’t worn one since the beginning. I did my research early on and once I found them to be totally ineffective against viruses, I passed. I have yet to have anyone challenge me and, thankfully, a few businesses in my area ignored the governor’s illegal mandates from the beginning and many more are now joining. And, thankfully, PA just passed a constitutional amendment referendum to strip our governor of the ability to proclaim endless emergencies. Freedom is slowing making a comeback.

I dont disagree. We are going to find out in years to come that all this did very little to change the numbers. But, it is the law, so we behave when inside. Thankfully, we are going massless at the end of the month. Looking forward to some normal...

@@LivingOffTheSlab It was not law in most states, it was a governor declaration. A local restaurant ignored the mandates and was cited twice. They were both thrown out in court as no law was broken. It was a ruse to get people to comply and it was effective, just as was the mask and social distancing ruse’s. We really need to get people to do their own research and look at the real numbers, not the narrative from media and government. When you look at the data, it is obvious that none of the measures had any effect on containing covid. And the things that really did correlate well (vitamin D deficiency, Zinc deficiency, obesity, etc.) were completely ignored. Sad.
