Used to play here as a kid!! Remember getting caught out by the tide and having to spend what seemed like HOURS waiting for it to go out again so we could get back home to Corstorphine. Recall my parents didn’t seem too bothered that I’d been away for about ten hours!! 😂😂😂 Happy days 😊 Great video and took me all the way back to my childhood. Seems so long ago but also just like yesterday as well.

I asked if you had a blog on Cramond, then that same night I come across it! I used to go there and fish, then head back home once the tide went back out as I made my escape back to reality! The history of that island - you would think a plaque could have been erected paying respect for those who manned the island from those German invaders! What I love about Scotland, we do not pull down our historic buildings! When one visits them, it makes you think in what it must have felt like for them, yet glad I never lived in that decade! I have loads of edited films which I took and recorded them on VHS tapes from around Scotland which sadly are stacked in a box in my loft! I am a pensioner now and technology in being able in be watching them again is out of sight. I would love to capture parts of Scotland with a drone! My wife and I and another couple did the WHW, Caledonian canal, Skye, Rannoch station to Fort William etc. Did many trips to France. Had a motor home for 3 years, then my wife had a stroke, so I sold the motor home and am now a carer. Good times came to an end, so enjoy what you are doing today Steve! You are doing a great promotion of the best country in the world - Scotland !
@steve-marsh Жыл бұрын
Oh what I'd do to watch those old VHS tapes! I know what you mean though, I wouldn't know how to these days! Cramond was absolutely lovely, and amazed how clean it was, even in the old concrete defence buildings (not sure what they're called). Wishing you all the very best, and I hope you enjoy future content to come, please look back on the motorhome days with happy memories :)

A really peacefull video. During lockdown here in Devon, I explored much more of the area where I live, and found some wonderful places off the beaten track. I found one such place within walking distance from my home, and it was a truly wonderful experience to sit on top of one of the highest points in Mid Devon, between Exmoor and Dartmoor with Sidmouth in the back ground. Only the Buzzards circling above. Like you I am enjoying what is local.

Lovely to see Cramond again, the wee Scottish village that once housed a future Roman Emperor & military general. You can just about imagine the Roman fortress with its galleys over the estuary of the river... from memory, though a little on the dear side, the pub is one of the better ones as well. 've been there a few times when taking visitors around the city and its suburbs....
