Best video ever! The detail regarding the crampons staying firm on place before any locking/strapping is top and this is the first video I watch that covers it properly. Question for any viewer or for you Glen. I went from robust trekking boots to semi rigid boots because of the place I lived before (not too technical terrain after extremely long approaches so the walking/trekking part was predominant), does it worth upgrading crampons from strap-on to semi-automatic? (I have 12 points strapon crampons, BD serac) Thanks a lot!

You didn’t rotate the Grivel pull tab to the lock position and you used the word instep but pointed at the arch.

I had seen it two or three years ago, but I kept it and when the ice season starts (I'm in the north of Spain) I see it again. I like it. and when someone asks me how to put on the crampons I try to explain it by imitating how you do it.

Hey , Superb video , thanks for upload.. I've got issue with my crampons , after an hour of wearing comes pain ,then blister on my heel , do u have and Idea what could be a problem? I've tried to make them loose ,but it happens every time ,thanx for info

@@alexandersime-scott8198 Thanks, but I already watched that. It doesn't match the crampons I've been given. I've been given some old school Stubai walking crampons. Think I've sussed in now anyway
