It’s so weird because all I did was lightly clean the window lever and after that, it just stopped working. Next time I might not even touch the window lever if I don’t know how to fix it. I feel like maybe because I scrubbed off the black stains that were on the lever, and maybe it needs to be coated with another layer of oil, but thinking about it doesn’t make much sense

You removed two screws, but you didn't show how you accessed them. Can you reach them from the inside of the house?
