Haha there was more of me than there was of the original kit body when you finished that. Awesome build.

Brad, I can think of no greater compliment than this kind of friendly, dare I say brotherly, teasing! It is a testament to the respect you have earned, and the impact you have had, on the KZbin guitar builder community! I WISH I had such a skilled builder honor me in this way! I'm curious to see what kind of friendly trash-talking follows among the other GGBO builders!

I absolutely love what you did with this. A bold move going for no cutaway, it gives off a classical instrument vibe while being an electric guitar and the wood you used is just stunning. Brilliant work.

Being following you now for several years. You inspired me to build my own guitar, a Solo, Les Paul Spalled Maple Top. It turned out great. You were just getting going with your channel ,with not a lot of followers. Think I just entered , building a guitar on You Tube, and you came up. Glad to see that you’ve become a huge ,top tear guitar guy on You Tube.

Wouldn't it been easier to maybe, to cover certain holes with painters tape for getting to pull snake lines for the electronics wires inside the body cavity with a suction vacuum. Just wondering, if it would have saved some time and aggravation, in that process ... just curious if that could even help ... sort of like electricians do through feeder pipes. Great looking and sounding AX. No wonder it received a 1st place award. BRAVO, Sir. That really turned out super cool ... cheers!!!

As a woodworker and a guitarist I loved the build. Had me a little worried at 1st with tossing the material around and the veneer, the final was outstanding. Great sound. Is there a way to find out what pickups were used? I would love to build a F-Hole curved top LP shape/size similar to the way they build archtop guitar.

Great build!. Brad tone sauce gives a guitar that special sound and feel. I really liked the oval neck pocket (guessing you had to shape the neck tenon also ). I really wish you showed how you did that.
@CranmerGuitars2 жыл бұрын
Ah, yeah. It was a strat kit, so the neck carve continued into the neck pocket. I basically just cut the neck slightly at the body joint with a tenon saw, inlaid the ebony in the body, and then shaped it to fit. Didn't think anyone would notice!

Firstly just to say that it’s a beautiful guitar, l am building a single cut with a Birdseye top, love your colour choice. Wondering if you would mind telling me the colours of the dyes and the sequence you used to achieve the burst. Also what did you use to seal the dye before final oil coats. Thanks Regards Maurice at ML Guitars The

Without a doubt, a beautiful guitar and masterfully built. One point though, I would have liked to have seen an open slot headstock with three tuners each side. I don't feel the traditional six on one side with this excellent body shape does it for me. Not a big concern. I particularly liked the smaller front bout that you have designed and the F holes. Cheers from Australia!!

@GaryBertolo5 ай бұрын
Q? What would that go for ... great size and finish. I could go on a jonze for something like that. What type of pickups are in that guitar? P-90/hum style similar to the Australian made JJ Pickups, I bet that they would sound super in one just like that one. Thank you for your build, Sir!
@CranmerGuitars4 ай бұрын
Not too sure, I'm not an electric guitar maker. Somewhere around £3k I'd guess, although it'd be a bit better thought out than this one! Pickups were just what Crimson supplied. P90s would be my preference if I made another 🙃
