it is called spider rig. ppl uses them in the eastern states more often but it works so good here in california too!

a lot of lakes in bay area have crappies, it is just about timing. right now is a very good time for finding deep water structure for crappies but they r very alert to boat traffic. so publishing the spot is probably not a good idea because if everyone's heading to the same spot, the boat traffic would scare them away and no one gets bite lol. that was a small lake near me, but i heard crappies r showing up in clearlake, lake berryessa and delta etc. just go check out the structure in deeper water near shore, they r right there!
