I've been told that true fluorocarbon was made for bait casters only because of all the memory - you can use it as a leader but not to put it on a spinning reel. I use hi vis Vicious and love it - I also use hi vis P-line CX premium which is a fluorocarbon coated and it works well. Also when putting line on a spinning reel you need to come off the bottom of the spool.

You catch such nice Crappies on your Channel, I admit i got one on the wall that is 13 1/2 that i caught as a kid up here in WI in the 80s lol

Richard Gene the fishing machine has a video on putting line on a spinning reel and shows his way of stopping line twist by soaking the line for seven days before installing really a nice video to watch on you tube.

I've quit buying those expensive lines. I've had good luck lately with original purple box stren. I use line conditioner and don't have any testing problems anymore

I should have also weighed them. But they've been around 2 pounds. I like to measure that way people watching know how long they are and don't have to just take my word😀. Thanks for watching!!

Jealous you get to fish so often ! The crappie fishing there just keeps getting better every year , last year I caught just over 1100 crappie from March thru May. Biggest was 18 3/4" and my personal best. All on jigs and plastic no live baits. You don't need livescope with your skills being so good. I use wifi sonar ,cost was less than $200 and I can catch/ find plenty of fish with it.

I can't believe that you keep the ones over 12 inches for eating. That hurts the size of the fish population.
@JIgginCrappie2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't hurt anything. There are plenty of fish in the lake. Anyone that has a graph with down imagining or side imaging or livescope can see the huge schools of fish. I guess if you don't like it you don't have to watch my videos.
