I wouldn't worry too much about no fish supper tonight. Eating a couple every once in awhile is nice, no doubt, but catching 'em is more fun. This is still the only channel I've ever put on notify for new videos. I don't get to fish much anymore and even though I truly enjoy other fishing channels yours is the one that's most like how I used to fish and you're the kind of person I like fishing with. That's why I go fishing with you here every chance I get. Keep putting out the videos, Richard, and I'll keep watching 'em. It's good fer me. :)

I absolutely love this channel, I have no idea how I stumbled upon it but I'm sure glad that I did.
@locoken6 жыл бұрын
You're not alone ,Chris. Many of us come here for the fishing. Still many more of us come here, well, just because we like to watch Richard act like a doofus and love it. I think most of us come here for both, really. I mean, why do I need to watch so many videos of crappie fishing? Because I love me some crappie, and I love to watch RGTFM catch him some slabs!
@AbsoluteStud6 жыл бұрын
These awesome videos are useless to me because you catch slabs on every trip in every weather with every bait. Best channel ever. War Eagle.

Thank you for uploading videos so that I may live vicariously through your fishing success. I am unable to fish now because I am tired up in legal trouble and because of that I can't drive anywhere. Anyways, thank you for all of your uploads, future ones included.

Another great video Gene agree with you on the polls very very sensitive I've owned one for years bought another one years ago can't live without them best Jig Pole I've ever used
@punchfukker33836 жыл бұрын
Gene, here's a great multi-species summertime creek-pool/bank-fishing tip for you: wacky rig on a dropshot a 3" firecracker trout worm (it's clear plastic with red silver & blue glitter, you can order em from online fishing supply stores really cheap, I get mine from Lure Parts Online like 10 for $1.40). It catches everything here from pumpkinseed to pike and I'd bet it'd work out great for you too.

I strongly support this channel and the wisdom & knowledge you give love the light tackle set up quick question have you ever fished with a 1/16 oz eagle claw jig head on a mr.crappie 2" jocker im kind of a odd ball who loves to fish God blesses you who bless us fishermen young and old (go fishing when you can cuz it's good for you)
@drumking3886 жыл бұрын
Richard, believe it or not, but about 4-5 years ago, I had the idea for these transparent jigs and had a local man who was making plastic lures make some for me with the red blue and silver flakes in them like this jig that you fished with today. They really work in clear water.
@punchfukker33836 жыл бұрын
The best multi-species summertime soft plastic rig I've ever put together for here in the Southern Tier/upstate New York region is just a 3" firecracker trout worm wacky-dropshotted.
My favorite pole I have several I can’t live without em.....they come in several lengths but I can do about anything with my 9’2”

I find (up here in PA anyways) when the small ones are up that close if you go out a few more feet and maybe down as far you'll get into the larger ones. I always had a big problem with common carp fishing a white 1" Mr.Twister when fishing close for Crappie,Gills,White Bass,etc. Heck of a fight on UL and a 1000 reel.But it got to be a real nuisance like LM/SM bass are..

Didn't hear.mbeen at Weiss today. Didn't catch a fish... But was only fishing from the bank of a little while just to check everything out but wife gets here tomorrow and I'm going to put my boat in the next day go around and see what's up thanks for all the advice you gave me bass Nazi I will definitely try to use some of it when I'm out on my boat
@bassnazi47136 жыл бұрын
These showers tonight will muddy the water some but might entice them more. Like I said I'm further west on Pickwick, but here lately the bass and even blue fill have been around the banks on nests and will not hardly bite a thing. Did pull in a 3-4lbs smallmouth close to the bank last night, too though.
@bassnazi47136 жыл бұрын
Don Ellzey and might need to go by Wal-Mart. I just left here in Muscle Shoals and they have a Berkley 3 pack kinda like they have always had of the Rebel topwater. Thing has a realistic blue gill painted square bull, a sexy shad Digger, and a black/silver shad all from Berkley for $10. I had almost ordered that bluegill one for $7 by itself from Cabelas the last time I ordered lol.
@Jesuslovesyou9296 жыл бұрын
Bass Nazi I went by Walmart and almost bought a new jig pole just because they had some nice ones down here you don't see them up there in Michigan I mean they had some really good ones at this Walmart in Centre Alabama and the bluegill were hitting on top today I noticed told my wife I wish I had my fly rod so I'm going to get my boat out Monday or Sunday and sure enough go around and see what I can do but once again thanks for the advice I've got a few good rebel topwater lures maybe I'll give him a try didn't think about that

I have tried for multiple years to catch a crappie. Guess where there is a will theres a way. I will always have vitamin B-6 in my tackle box. My life has some mysterious missout thing over it so i have been using the spiritual realm as an alternative my latest is this may 24th 2018 crappie fishing trip where i caught 100crappie in 5 hours my fish were all from 9-15 inches long i had fun. I went on a lucid fishing trip. I lucid dream every night since 2008 because of this chronic miss out proverb that makes my life a horrible desert. I have dreamed as my latest was i wanted to catch crappie. So i just took 100mg of vitamin B-6 lucid dream Supplements 2 hours before retire. Next thing i know is im bank fishing and im fishing crappie and had great success while i was lucid i cleaned and ate them then woke up. Where theres a will theres a way. I will never own a tackle box without vitamin B-6 in it. I am thankful i was able to catch 100crappie fully bedridden and blessed as always nightly since 2008. I caught some slabs and had a lot of fun lucid crappie fishing.

There's nothing wrong with keeping fish to eat. All you want. Fish and wildlife/DNR regulations are made for keeping fish, and those who release fish often do far more harm to the ecology that all the keep and eat anglers put together. Releasing a few super giant fish can be a good thing, but the ignorance on KZbin about catch and release versus catch and cook is astounding. It's all kneejerk reaction that makes sense to the ignorant, and even most pro fishermen are remarkably ignorant about anything and everything except how to catch big fish. Those who fish because KZbin says they can, and may even make money from it, are the worst of the lot. KZbin is too often the blind leading the uneducated, and few sections of KZbin display this more than the fishing and survival sections.
