Gene, You've been an inspiration to me. The last 10 or so years, I've been in poor health. The last year, I've lost 150 lbs and getting around a lot better. Had my boat in storage for 12 years. Put a new outboard on it a couple of months ago and brought the old boat back to life. I'm going to get out there every chance I can from here on out. Thank you so much for rekindling my love of fishing. Rob.

Richard, I just wanna say that the reason I love watchin' your videos is for one, I love crappie fishing, and you always deliver when it comes to crappies, your down to earth attitude that keeps me laughin' every time I log on, and last but not least, that darned southern accent is irresistible to listen to. I love your humor, your sarcastic take on things, and the fact that I'd love to have someone like you to spend my day on the water fishing with. Thank you for providing me with daily entertainment and helpful videos like these. I get a bunch of fun outa watchin' you every time I log onto youtube. Have a great day, my friend! You da best!

I just found your channel and I must say that I am awe struck! I am an Alabama boy who has been in Texas most of my life. I am severely disabled and watching your videos makes my life a lot better! I was always a saltwater fisherman. I have never caught a bass, crappie or a freshwater catfish. I am hoping one day to get to come back to my home state and do some of the same fishing that I have been watching you do. Please keep the content coming and if I never get to come home and fish at least I can watch you and dream!!!

I grew up on the Coosa River and fished there all my life and recently moved to Texas and have tried several of your tactics here and found to be successful most of the time, and I fish from the bank only! So thanks again! Happy fishing

You are by no doubt the greatest fisherman i have seen . You give so much insight to what you are doing. You keep it plain and simple as long as people do the little things you tell em. I had to live in alabama 30 years ago near lake guntersville amd got to fish it a lot. I feel its one of the best fishing lakes on the tva chain. Im up river from you where they drop the water a lot on the lakes in the winter. It changes the paterns and very little shore line weeds. Got to get back down t and fish again. But ,your shows the best of any . Oh i have large collection of poles and reels like you do. Just can’t help it. Love my old round cranking reels and fiberglass rods . Keep up the shows

Howdy, from Maine! It will be another 4-5 weeks before we can be catching crappie where I fish. Maine only has Black Crappie and they were stocked by mistake in 1969 by the Fish & Wildlife when they put large mouth bass in Lake Sebasticook. There were crappie in the same pond as the bass. These crappie are all over the State now and what a fun fish to catch. Thank you for your informative videos.

Some beatiful black crappie . I use powerpro 10 lb. 2lb. mono diamiter. I use no leader they dont seem to care with bluegills redear or crappie. Even thru the ice and the water is gin clear a leader isnt nessesary. But if you think you need a leader by all means use it. That power pro is the best braid in my opinion. I have spent alot of money trying them all. Great vid and keep ya line wet Richard.
